The first Corona virus taskforce was formed on Feb 28 which reports directly to the president .Since that day we get daily briefings from Harambee house where the office of the president is located.
The taskforce you are referring too that was formed Yesterday is the Covid-19 Emergency Response fund taskforce.For coordinating issues to do with funding.It comprises of major actors in the economy.

Nimekubali kwamba mko na "mfumo bora" sana wa Afya kutuliko. Kwa vile mko na mfumo bora, naomba uniambia mko na mahabara ngapi yaliyo na uwezo wa kupima virusi vya corona na kutoa matokeo sahihi. Pili, mko na vitanda ngapi za ICU na HDU kwa ajili ya wagonjwa wa Corona? Tatu, mko na plan gani ya kuhakikisha kwamba hamtapata upungufu wa vifaa vya kupima corona na protective gears za madaktari? Naomba unijibi tu hayo kwa sasa, mengine baadae

Because we are doing tests ila nyinyi mnaomba. In the last 24hrs alone, we've tested close to 300 people and found 9 to be positive. If we didn't do the tests hatungejuwa kwamba hao tisa ni wagonjwa na wangeendelea kuambukiza wengine hata zaidi. The government already projected that we might have 10,000 positive cases by the end of April. Does your government even have such simple things as projections to enable it plan ahead? Definitely not. All it says is that you should keep praying! Pray Joto pray!
