As far as I remember, Section 56 of that Act introduced into the ICTA a new charge to tax arises where the underlying ownership of an entity changes by more than 50 per cent occurs.

The change in ownership triggers a deemed disposal and re-acquisition of assets owned and any liabilities owed by the entity immediately before the change in ownership.

This measure was particularly targeted at the disposal of offshore holding companies, but it can apply equally to an ‘on-shore’ direct disposal. It is also a deemed disposal at the local level.

I'm amang those people who plans to discard vodacom sim cards the company is now robbing my air time . I have recharged 1000/= air time through M pesa this morning and received notification when tried to subscrib to internet bundle of 900/= the notification came that you do not enough balance, to check the balance is 797.29 what is it if not thefty? I plan to throw away this anoying simcard[
