When America Almost Invaded Uganda to Defend Kenya

since when is pursuing your own interest bad? It is the reason capitalist societies grow faster, by every citizen pursuing their own interests to achieve happiness.

Mutual interests are short lived and friends turn against friends, power is the only thing that can secure a state.

Anyone may at any time use force, and all must constantly be ready to counter such force with force. Hence, driven by acquisitiveness, having no moral restraints, and motivated to compete for scarce goods, individuals are apt to β€œinvade” one another for gain.

Once states are established, the individual drive for power becomes the basis for the states’ behavior, which often manifests itself in their efforts to dominate other states and peoples. States, β€œfor their own security,” .

Tanzania is veiling it's own interests in Pan-Africanism which is a pretence. All states fight for power only that others are better at actually gaining that power and influence.

The only constant in international or national politics is betrayal and GOK and Kenyans know this from experience. That is why we work for our own interests first, African second.

Note kwamba nchi ambayo imezaliwa katika misingi ya kijamaa sio nchi ya kuichezea chezea hata kidogo, vijana walikuwa wanalilia kwenda front line, wastaafu waling'ang'ania kurudi jeshini, wanawake walikesha wakiimba chenja, wanafunzi na watoto walikuwa wanaimba nyimbo za chuki/kizalendo masaa yote, watu wenye kipato walitoa magari yao kupeleka chakula na askari Ku station na kupata mafunzo Mwanza

Yani kifupi kipindi cha ile vita ilikuwa unapigana na Tanzania nzima maana kulikuwa hatuna upinzani wala udini wala ukabila hivyo tulikuwa tukiamua jambo letu lazma tulitekeleze kwa weledi mkubwa

Where do you get the crap you had just posted about Kagera war?

Disprove my claim, old man! engage your senile grey matter for once in your miserable life.

You wanted Kenya to align with a hopeless country like Tanzania in defense?

Here are your fellow laggards, complaining about Kenya looking out for it's own interests. We look out for Kenya only not Africa.

Nonsense! if we are hopeless then why there is no any country that can mess with us even Kenya?

Apparently you have no idea why Kenya will not engage militarily with any eac country including Rwanda,Burundi.
i) eac rules do not allow that.
ii) It is not profitable since the eac is among our largest market for manufactured goods.

Now to the word hopeless. Yes you are, all your attempts to undermine Kenya in the international circle and trade have failed miserably. Now the only option you have is to yap like dogs. You have tried everything to undermine Kenya but we still outwit you.

Kenya follows what is good for kenya not what is good for Africa! We pursue our own national interest first ie Kenyan interests override any African interests
That would be Defensive realism....

We don't have the resources or the diplomatic power to wage/practice offensive realism.

Liberalism(I.R) is a failed ideology.

there is not a cohesive ideology to warrant constructivism

so the only thing we have left is defensive realism hence certain provocations don't warrant military responses despite that fact that we hold a major escalation advantage over our East African neighbours

You have to appreciate the strategic actions of the NSC. Despite obvious shortcomings and failures, they really do a good job of deterrence and force projection

Militarily Kenya(or Tanzania or Uganda or Rwanda) doesn't give a flying f*ck about the EAC. The EAC is to be tolerated and accommodated whenever possible but not a determining factor (that is one of the dirty secrets in the EAC)

Reminds me of a sentence in "The Prince".
"So, as a prince is forced to know how to act like a beast, he must learn from the fox and the lion; because the lion is defenseless against traps and a fox is defenseless against wolves. Therefore one must be a fox in order to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten off wolves. A good leader must be a fox to evade the snares and a lion to kick out the wolves"

Big big big facts πŸ’―!!!!
