Kenya did not abstain, the kenya office at the UN was closed for holiday hence we did not participate in the vote at all, but if we had we would have probably abstained, this is because the resolution was useless and it was stupid for any country to think that voting for or against actually had any power, If the US woke up tomorrow and decided that palestine doesn't exists anymore, trust me, no one in the UN would do shit! I mean just look at this situation, the whole UN had to call for a special meeting just to vote on one single issue where the sovereign state of US decided that it would move its embassy, how weak is the rest of the world that we have to all gather to pass a useless resolution that doesn't carry any weight just for one country

This was not meant for comparative achievements of EAC countries, like the debate goes. We know how a houseboy can achieve from his master compared to hardworking family masters but, that does not make his job look wonderful to most societies. We know where we are, we know how we relate. The problem was not Israel versus Palestine, it was all about US, specifically Trump threatening language, add to it, the threat from one country to other countries.

Palestinians are the sufferers who mostly need our moral support. Where are we Kenyans? Morally dead! Do we remember how we were supported after our own making tribal conflict-killing-IDP thing? You cannot claim your offseason just because of the nonbinding resolution while you have been through such resolutions ever since. So, Kenya decided to go diplomatic to a person rebuking us like any other toddler. If it is truly coming to be a party of those who supported the US over the resolution, say Kenya attends, that will be another proof of judgement failure. The meaning will be; the threatened are happy to be invited and rewarded for that cowardly response.

Let us not pretend. We are still underdeveloped we need a lot of protection from neighbours, friends and other well-wishers. US will never need us unless it is for their benefits.

Kaka unahitaji kurudi nyuma ili uweze kujielimisha kuhusu hilo eneo la Palestina na Israel, inaonekana hujafuatilia na wala huelewi vizuri kabisa, historia ni ndefu sana, lakini mimi nitaanzia miaka kadhaa kabla ya vitakuu ya kwanza ya dunia.
