I suspect you have a non scientific understanding of science.
Do not take the term "cousins" literally. It is used to denote the relative evolutionary "distance" between species. Yes, they are all primates.
Evolution goes to lengths and is our best and most widely studied theory for the origin of species. The Big Bang theory explains the origin of the universe and the same elements that everything we know, including life, is derived from.

This is history according to the Europeans and the Arabs, who gave you the bible and the quran in exchange for your land and slaves.
The "religious" Europeans oversaw the enslavement of over 15 million Africans, who were packed on ships, like livestock, and transferred to the Americas and Europe where their subjugation continues to this day. They did this with a whip in one hand and a bible in the other hand.
The religious Europeans massacred entire communities of Africans, in what is described as the most brutal colonization, anywhere on the planet. They killed millions of Africans, with a bible in one hand and a gun in the other.
Do not forget the crusades, the world wars and invasions, all fought in the name of a deity. These "enlightened" Europeans, maddened by the weight of their conviction turned the world inside out.
Starting in the fifties, the African pushed for independence, but not before they wrote their history, the history which you peddle.
The Ancient Greeks, the ancient Romans, the Chinese, the indus valley civilizations, all of these civilizations were grounded on a pre Abrahamic faiths. If your logic was to hold, then, all the aforementioned civilizations would have never existed. Instead, they are the basis, the foundation infested by Abrahamic faiths.
Remember this is the continent that gave you: The Nok, the Shilluk Kingdom, Mutpa, Luanda, Huba, the Wanga, the Banganda, Kush, Meroe, Shungwaya, Fung, Kordofan, Ashanti, Yateng, Humbe, Zulu and a thousand other civilization that rose and fell in precolonial Africa.

I will remind you that gravity is a theory. I do not expect you to declare that you do not believe in gravity because you do not need to "believe" in gravity for it to be true.
A theory is a well studied and robustly tested body of knowledge. Theories are grounded in tests and evidence.
Theories gave us modern medicine, electricity and they continue to explain our universe. In science, a theory is a very big deal, one that stands the test of time and tests is even a bigger deal.
Evolution is grounded in evidence:
- Fossils
- DNA
- Similarities among living organisms: Homologies
- Observable evidence: Evidence by example
- Similarities of embryos
- Distribution in time and space
There is overwhelming and undeniable evidence for evolution. Do you understand what evolution is?
All primates evolved from a common ancestor. This is just a fact of existence.
I do not believe in a hell or a heaven. No amount of ayas can change that. 🙂

That answers my question! No! common ancestor does not refer to monkeys and chimpanzees. That is not how evolution works.
Again, human evolution does not state that we originated from monkeys and chimps, but that we have a common ancestor. As a matter of fact, all living organisms on this planet are related.
My goal is not to have you join a group, "filthy" or otherwise, but to have a discussion about these profound issues. Do not get upset. 🙂
