Held a meeting with the Volkswagen Group. I am happy to welcome back the largest car manufacturer currently in the world, back to Kenya. Volkswagen South Africa will establish an assembly plant to produce motor vehicles at the Kenya Vehicle Manufacturers limited in Thika. This is a milestone in my administration's determined push to grow the manufacturing base and transform Kenya into an industrialized nation.

The struggles to put ugali and maharagwe on the table gonna get really ugly and violent as the recalcitrance of this regime to lower tax goes on unchecked!

Those who used to mock maharagwe ya Chunya will have to deeply regret because buying them will be a tougher nut to crack.

Those known for binging will have to reminisce on those were the days....

The negative effects of over taxation are beginning to sink in and every one is seeing them except our insular leaders who either ignore the reality or are in perpetual state of denials.

This is a vicious circle

On one hand we have a government that over years has fleeced pension schemes

And on the other hand we have employees whose loyalty to their employer hasa hit lowest ebbs.

The reason for all these is institutionalized injustice

Now they are etching laws to ensure employees will heftily contribute in the pension schemes but reap almost nothing after inflation adjustments

The regime deludes itself it can get away with murder

But injustice has ways of inflicting both sides and in equal measure: the culprit and the victim somehow even out

So the regime will pass these draconian pension scheme laws that will permit it to continue abuse the schemes without incurring any side effects

But employees will inflict by far larger and telling losses to the government once an aura of loyalty and innocence drop down

At the end of all this mess founded on greed and lack of accountability will leave us all worse off!

Unless the regime begins respecting the welfare rights of its employees expect our largesse being ripped off by both sides in a survival tug of war.
