A polite question to President Samia: Do you know the location of Achilles' Heel in Magufuli's regime?

In Africa being vice doesnt mean you are the second in command, no African leader would wish to have a strong vice president, SSH was put there simply bcz she was a lady royal to the party not a threat to the position coming from island to show some mockery equality with Zazibar.

I also concure with the post. LikeJPM even SSH has got no vision and solution for this nation we ur wasting time, she bcome popular in her first 100days simply of the mass mistakes en blunders of her predecessor, so far i havent witnessed any real delibarate move taken by to fix this nation back on track, Tznian are becoming desperate day by day despite the bitting poverty in rural and urban centres their leaders are frustrating them alot, they see no hope of liberation. The nation has been handed over to apoliticl armature we can't expect much from her.
They are all cooked in same pot

The Statue of Dying Achilles at the Corfu Achilleion.

Dear President Samia, after having assessed your performance for months now, I am about to make a rounded conclusion about your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOTs).

However, before doing that I should prefer to pose a polite question to you, if you allow:

Do you really know the location of Achilles' Heel in the body of your predecessor's government which you inherited?

If yes, how prepared are you in getting rid of it?

Very few will doubt the claim that, by whatever standard one may use, President Magufuli was a dictator, and like all dictators he had strengths and weaknesses.

Dictatorships often appear invulnerable for many reasons.

Intelligence agencies, police, military forces, prisons, concentration camps, and execution squads are controlled by a powerful few.

A country’s finances, natural resources, and production capacities are often arbitrarily plundered by dictators and used to support the dictators’ will.

In comparison, democratic opposition forces often appear extremely weak, ineffective, and powerless.

That perception of invulnerability against powerlessness makes effective opposition unlikely.

That is not the whole story, however.

A myth from Classical Greece illustrates well the vulnerability of the supposedly invulnerable.

Against the warrior Achilles, no blow would injure and no sword would penetrate his skin.

When still a baby, Achilles’ mother had supposedly dipped him into the waters of the magical river Styx, resulting in the protection of his body from
all dangers.

There was, however, a problem. Since the baby was held by his heel so that he would not be washed away, the magical water had not covered that small part of his body.

When Achilles was a grown man he appeared to all to be invulnerable to the enemies’ weapons.

However, in the battle against Troy, instructed by one who knew the weakness, an enemy soldier aimed his arrow at Achilles’ unprotected heel, the one spot where he could be injured.

The strike proved fatal. Still today, the phrase “Achilles’ heel” refers to the vulnerable part of a person, a plan, or an institution at which if attacked there is no protection.

The same principle applies to ruthless dictatorships.

They, too, can be conquered, but most quickly and with least cost if their weaknesses can be identified and the attack concentrated on them.

The fifth phase government had many weaknesses that made it unpopular to rational voters, and this unpopularity had two stages of evolution.

In a word, its Achilles' Heel between 2015 and 2020 was overt INJUSTICE to the innocent many while from 2020-2021 it was plausible ILLEGITIMACY by reason of pre-marked ballots which, allegedly, were systematically channelled into many ballot boxes.

Now, I can restate my question: Do you Mama Samia, the successor of President Magufuli, know the SWOTs of the government you inherited from Magufuli, and if yes, as you take off and aspire to become a successful president, how prepared are you regarding the urgent need of turning opportunities and weaknesses into strenghts?
It'll definitely depend on whether she is willing to turn opportunities and weaknesses into strength nevertheless have you asked yourself of how powerful are the hawks around her? There might some powerful personalities she can't dare go against, so it's not all about her will.

Shes

Her presidency is under siege, she's being blackmailed,so,it's useless talking to her.

Currently the country is controlled by few individuals,Mark my words!
To certain extent yeah, I agree with you.

Wanjiru, kindly take notice of the following brute facts:

1. That, I always pay allegiance to truth-respecting authorities and withdraw the same whenever such authorities intentionally misbehave without showing any remorse for their wrongful deeds;

2. That, I willingly dismembered myself from Chadema for the above reason, after discoveribg that Chadema in theory per constitution and Chadema in practice per leaders words and deeds are two irreconcilable realities, while the gap is intentionally created by team Mbowe for some ulterior motive;

3. That, I subscribe to principles of public reason as I advance, not partisan arguments, but principled arguments. As a matter of editorial policy under this account, my arguments are comprehensive in terms of the following elements: claim, ground, backing, warrant, objections and rebuttals and concessions if any.

4. That, for now, it is my conviction that, despite their weaknesses noted so far, President Samia's team is still the lesser evil team, as compared to Mbowe's teams.

5. And that, when it comes to the question of dictatorship, Mbowe's team is more dangerous than Samia's team. Mbowe and his advisers are primitive and naive dictators mostly motivated by interventionist theologies originating in Germany. They also embrace a dangerous form of Marxism premised on the dictatorship of the proletariat. The common denominator between theological interventionism and radical Marxism is the moral principle of proportionalism, according to which anything goes provided there is a proportionate benefit.

6. Just look at the way the foreign media have been manipulated by some domestic editors under the coordination of Ansbert Ngurumo to act as disinformation agents, trying to set an agenda for Tanzania without regard to the facts on the ground and without regard to our sovereignty as a nation-state.

7. The most recent awful example showing the short sightedness of Mbowe's team is their attempted rhetoric to use the aocial media to brand President Samia as THE NEW AFRICAN FEMALE DICTATOR. Very few will understand this manner of reasoning as manifested by Mbowe team. They are discrediting themselves even further before the civilised public.

8. Concerning the present saga between Chadema and the government I maintain (1) that, under the constitution, the President has power to determine and declare a state of emergency in the economic sector as she did on March 29 when addresaing the media editors, and (2) that, under the emergency powers act, the President has power to suspend some citizen's rights including the right to assemble as she did declare on March 29 this year. The western media, under the manipulation of Mbowe team, don't want her to exercise these powers.

9. Thus, for all these reasons, currently I am paying allegiance to Samia's team in my own style--offering constructive criticisms, as I am doing here.

Time is the best judge.

She got all the instruments and powers to model the situation much better. If she can't now she will eventually regret her delayments.

A Killer?! But we are quite sure thst 'JPM' could have protected 1 Million souls of innocent Tanzanians from the unpredictable side effects of vaccine shots donated by the so called African Vaccine Acq .....bla bla Trust.

Someone out there is throwing banana in the pitch to you Africans and you laugh at thinking that is a way of cheering up but it is actually mocking to baboons.
Stop that nonsense JPM killed how many innocent citizens, opposing science and vaccine without providing scientific proof just exposed his ignorance to the world.

I somehow disagree with you on number of points.
-Calling Samia a female dictator is a fighting tactic, she is the one holding the all four aces so what are they remained with? The only arsenal at their disposal is propaganda, imagine their current position and you'll definitely understand that.
-I don't support on how they go about their 'business' hundred percent but I understand their goals, the end justifies the means and I'm with them on that.
-If and I mean only if you agree that the there is a need for the constitutional change then obviously you're aware of the obstacles purposely set by the regime for the reasons best known to themselves.

-One love[emoji1666]

1. I understand and support the importance of constitutional reforms given my experience in opposition politics

2. I call into question the claim that constitutional reforms constitute agenda number one for the nation without showing the nation plan in terms of which such a priority is determined

3. I realise the fact that constitution making in TZ is a win-lose exercise which may pave a way for the demise of the euling party. Chahali has argued this point well

4. I call upon the concerned parties to look for a win win scenario through the constitution making process. There is one.

5. I criticise intentions of confrontational politics as recently declared by Mbowe when at Mwanza. They will overshadow the implementation of our national plans

Point number 4, I wish there was a will for them to sit down, talk sensibly and reach consensus. That for sure will be a win win situation for both sides, but the big question is, 'is there really a will?'.
Point number 5, confrontational politics is probably plan B, the opposition(CHADEMA in this case) have tried a soft approach but we all know what they gained from that so we got to understand them.
Point number 2, don't they real have any plan whatsoever in terms of priorities on constitutional reforms? You've been there so you can clarify this.

1. The constitutional reform is not only important but necessary its not a one party issue but rather a national issue its importance can't be seen by lay-people easily.

2. Win win stuation can't be applied on a national issue like constitutional reform its the 60m tznians to win not a particular party,

3. Confrontational politics remained the only remedy to change despotic power hungry parties in Africa for them their dialogue and peace negotiation is applied when its on their favour, or their on last point of losing power.

4.Without constutional reform which ii the bigining point of constitutionalism political economy and democracy all can be achieved by amending en reforming pple views.

My personal perception I see the trend taken by other side demanding changes is right en yielding fruits right now the ruling party en executive their in crossroads.

Call me anything but my advice to you is try to go and listen to Bishop Hon Gwajima yesterday's message clip to the nation. Its a high time for every well wisher to pray for Tanzania and Madam President.

The only known fear of CCM , towards the constitution reform is the loose of power, and hence when they are not ready to discuss anything about UNION which is merely fake Union which only benefits islands and those royal families from either sides,
CCM as the old party has done nothing due to deep assessment since independence compared to resources the Country has, the only favour ccm got is socialism mode they imparted to Tanzanians since then, the unknown fear among Youths once youths left their future to be decided by these old Goats in green clothes.

Gwajima is a sadist alarmist pessimistic all the time negatively, they think that other pple envy them en they wish them only bad. Why Tz to be killed of all countries?. They have failed to defend pple in the Parliament against unfair taxes their looking for fame, by decampigning covid vaccination. Its only low understanding pple who can take them serious.
