I think they lost soldiers, and its really dissapointing that KDF media and infomation unit is acting like we are in the 70s were everything is secret............... But I think Alshabaab is exergirating,, but since KDF kept quiet last time and alshabaab were busy disseminating info,today people are going to believe whoever gave a correct and timely account before...... yani even the british PM knows more than us... and we are the ones with families,relatives and friends over there.... realy disapointing..........
anyway , what I can deduct from his statement is if we had lost the battle, he would have condoled and condemed and said a few encouraging words, but his use of the word 'decisive responce' can only mean those who attacked did not live to celebrate, if it was a total loss on kdf no one will use such words......
The Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Somalia, in which Kenyan military personnel were killed.
The Foreign Secretary said:
I strongly condemn the recent Al Shabaab attacks in Somalia, against the Dayah hotel as well as a Kenyan Defence Force facility at Kulbiyow in Southern Somalia. I offer my deepest condolences to the families of the brave Kenyan soldiers who lost their lives or were injured in the attack.
I would also like to praise the decisive response of the Kenyan Defence Forces, who displayed exemplary levels of bravery in responding to the attack.
The UK continues to work closely with both the governments of Kenya and Somalia in the fight against terrorism. These security challenges represent a shared threat, and require a shared response.”

Kuna jamaa yangu mmoja amenidokeza kuwa imegundulika jeshi la kenya wanapeleka zaidi vijana waislamu waliojiunga na jeshi ili kupambana na Alshabaaab. Wakifika kambini wanastuka asilimia karibu 80 ni waislamu watupu, hii janja ndio inayo wagarimu wakenya.
Jamaa anasema kuna uwezekano kuwa vijana hawa wanajua nini kinaendelea hivyo kutoa baadhi za info na washkaji wa alshabaab wanapotaka kuja huwaambia kaeni pembeni atakae tia pua atawaka.
Huo ni mtazamo wake, isichukuliwe ni jambo la kweli ingawaje linafikirika

No don't get me wrong..I detest those skinnies with every fibre of my being...I sometimes get crazy mad at Prez and his coterie of advisors. I miss the days before KDF rehatted into leaderless Amisom..the days of the Eloquent Silas Oguna and Major Chirchir,where we used to get daily updates on twitter and weekly press briefings.I think Kenya should pull out of Amisom and operate independently like they did with OPERATION LINDA NCHI. I don't care if we foot the bill.A stable Jubaland is a plus for Kenya.

Makomando wa Marekani wamepakimbia hapo ndo wakaamua kuwaachia wakenya baada ya kuona askari wanauawa hovyo na Alshaabab. Alshaabab ilikuwa ni serikali ila Marekani hawakuitaka wakaipundua na hapo Sokalia. Alshaabab sio kundi lililokuja ghafla tu, hao ndo walikuwa kama chama tawala.

Nikazi sana kugundua hizi vitu kaka, na ukichukulia kuna muingiliano mkubwa sana kwa hawa ndugu zetu wa kenya na wasomali, undugu wadamu kabisaa. Utakuta mwanajeshi wa kenya ila wajomba zake wapo Mogadishu, ni wasomali.
Sasa utajiuliza inakuwaje kila siku wanapigwa kizembe namna hiyo?
