Kdf has never failed to release the number of casualties in Somalia. The fact that the El Adde attacks happened and the government decided to compensate families quietly without releasing the figures to the public shows only one thing; it was a massive blow. Becoming pessimistic on the government figures is understandable but running away with Alshabab stated figures is abit too exuberant imo.It is not out of choice that the larger section of the Kenyan public has opted to believe the Alshbb claims and to regard the KDF statements with cynicism. This is all owing to the DoD's policy of being non-committal with the information that the Kenyan pipo badly need regarding the operations in Somalia, and most importantly regarding the aftermath of such attacks on the Kenyan forces there. They are blundering quite badly in this.
Remember them times how they would almost promptly release very well articulated statements in the media and via their internet accounts, complete with footages/fotos of the fallen enemy fighters splashed all over for all to see? Gone are the days when they would even have the press-men embedded within their ranks during their combats in Somalia.
Why is it that they are now dispensing the information in such tiny trickles? They are in effect feeding this widespread public cynicism; the growing doubt regarding their efficacy in wiping out the militants.

Command Problem how can it be differentiated from fighting problem?! [emoji57] [emoji57]Attack on the KDF is not because they don't know how to fight, but since they joined Amison, the comand chain changed and sometimes it has been difficult to lay out operations as they know it better! Before Kenya joined Amison, no Kenyan soldier had died, they removed Alshabaab from Kismayu over night without a single injury!!!
They swept the whole of Jubaland in a month without any injury, so basically, it is the command problems rather than failure in their fighting!!!
