Yes you are right whats at stake is indeed our lives and our social economic well being. We dont want to have a case whereby our borders have been competely over run by alshaabab and the militants have taken complete control of the NEP that would catastrophic. Security is paramount to economic stability.
An yes the US were there and for how many hours? mark you we have been there for 6yrs and we have liberated more than 128 towns from militants.
Have you since heard piracy in the indian ocean? My geuss NO.

NAIROBI (Reuters) - A suspected recruiter for Somalia's al Shabaab militant group being held in a west Kenyan police station shot dead at least four officers there on Thursday after snatching a weapon from a guard, an officer said.The incident took place at Kapenguria police station in a region near the Ugandan border.
Al Shabaab has launched a series of attacks against Kenya in recent years, including using local recruits. The group says the attacks are aimed at driving Kenyan forces out of Somalia where they are part of an Africa force fighting al Shabaab.
The suspect was detained on Wednesday for interrogation and grabbed the weapon during a routine roll call early on Thursday morning, said the officer, who asked not to be named because he was not authorised to speak publicly.
"I can confirm that four police officers have been killed but they could be more," the officer told Reuters.
Kenyan television channel KTN said as many as six officers had died in the continuing stand-off. KTN and other Kenyan media said police reinforcements had been deployed.
"The suspect has locked himself inside one of the rooms and we are trying to get him out," the officer said. "We have surrounded the station."
A police spokesman and a regional official had no immediate comment.

Speaking to the Nation by phone, West Pokot County Commissioner Wilson Wanyanga confirmed that Kapenguria OCS Vitalis Ochido was among the dead.
According to Mr Wanyanga, the suspect was booked at the police station on Wednesday.
He was arrested in Nakwijit, in North Pokot Sub-County, and was expected to appear in court Thursday morning.
The suspect, Omar Okwaki Eumod, is said to have planned his rescue from the cells before he seized a rifle from one of the officers and began shooting indiscriminately.

The man is accused of recruiting young people from the region to join the militia group.
A helicopter carrying nine elite General Service Unit (GSU) who are part of the Recce Company landed in Kapenguria in efforts to subdue the gunman.
This is the first response unit to arrive at the scene, with Administration Police (AP) officers having been deployed to the scene.
Gunshots were heard from the police station as late as 10am.
It is alleged that when one police officer opened the cells to take in more suspects, Mr Omar snatched the officer’s gun and shot him dead before turning it to other police officers who responded to the gunshots.
