Bookworms of JF, what's your favorite book (s) and why?

Asante mkuu.I must have missed this fine point about struggling financially though one is earning a big salary. That is indeed where Rich Dad, Poor Dad comes in. Binafsi nilikataa ajira bila hata kufikiria financial independence kwa sababu tu I despise being controlled by others. I have not done so badly by and by, and I am sufficiently comfortable with my situation though I find out now that you cannot avoid being controlled by others completely e.g you have to pay taxes for one thing, and defer to your wife and kids among many others( ‘p’lazima ita ku control tu lau kwa kiasi fulani!)
Also I am sure nobody want to be a poor dad but for all that, employees will always be there! Which is why I think Kiyosaki is applicable to those who are ready to travel the lone path of ‘go getters’ who are only a few among his readers. Of course this is properly so since all novel ideas can only be adapted by a handful of people at a time. And because of this I would still commend formal education to a certain level(at least a 1st degree) especially for young people though to the few with working ideas that are pregnant-ready to give birth to money-I would say jump in the sea and start swimming!
Good night/evening/morning/noon(according to your time zone Mkuu and much appreciation.

Mwenye soft copy ya kitabu cha “Yes I’m judging you:The do better manual
Cha Luvvie Ajay
Naomba

Kitabu kinaitwa The F Certificate( David Gurney)
“The country is sex mad. The world is sex mad. People don’t want culture any more. They want sex and they are ready to pay for it. And if you want to stay in the market you must sell what the people want to buy” End of quote.
Sound vulgur doesn’t it?
Hey, let me not distract you anymore for now. Make something for hubby, do something for junior or finish up the book you are reading at the moment. Cheerio.

Hiki The wind of winter si bado kutoka? Kwenye series ya Game of thrones kuna mambo yameenda mbele zaidi ya A dance with dragons kiliishia.

Mkuu wangu

Am Neuroscience expert chief

Both Quantum Physics and Neuroscience fascinate me.

Namsoma Sean Caroll katika "The Big Picture:On the Origin of Life, Meaning and the Universe Itself"

Umekisoma "Behave: The Biology of Humans at Our Best and Worst" cha Dr. Robert Sapolsky ?

Ahsanteni
Hapo kwenye kupika unatakiwa upate vitabu vilivyo kwenye category ya 'Food and cookbooks'. Ambapo hapa vipo vingi, ukigoogle utaviona na utajichagulia tuu kitakachokuvutia.

Kwenye hasira za karibu naona unaitaji vitabu vinavyohusu Psychology of human behavior / nonfiction books. Hapa hebu jaribu Personality by Daniel Nettle na
The upside of stress by Kelly McGonigal.

Kwenye biashara vimetajwa vingi sana huku. Ila nitafuatilia nijue kipi kitakufaa. Ila inabidi nijue ni vipi umekwisha visoma.

1900: Or, The Last President

reads, “A work of political satire, it chastises the rise of socialism and populism, inferring their fictional rise here as disastrous and leading to chaos. It is of note here that this work, along with others by Lockwood, appear to prognosticate the current political climate of the United States and West at large- and for an apparent religious Catholic of his era, it is not altogether impossible that Lockwood- wittingly or unwittingly- tapped into some mystic forces.”

The book starts,

Newsweek notes that the book also says, “The Fifth Avenue Hotel will be the first to feel the fury of the mob,” which is the current location of Trump Tower. “The president’s hometown of New York City is fearing the collapse of the republic in this book, also titled 1900, immediately following the transition of presidential power. Some Americans begin forming a resistance, protesting what was seen as a corrupt and unethical election process,” Newsweek reports of the book.
