Hivi Nakuru ina international airport? Ina port? How about industries? Muache upumbavu wa kulamba matako ya Kenya. Stonetown, Mbeya, Tanga na Mwanza wanazo. Wakati plan for Dodoma to be a city is on working..Uwe makini kwa hili, ukubwa wa mji siyo maendeleo na ubora wa mji. Hata hapa tu tunaona jinsi kuna miji midogo kwa watu inavyoizidi miji ni kubwa kwa ubora katika vitu vingi. Mfano mji wa Moshi una wakazi wachache kuliko Tabora, Kigoma, Songea, Mbeya, Kahama, Geita lakini uzuri wake mnaufahamu. Ama pamoja na jiji la Arusha kuwa dogo Mara mbili kwa Mwanza bado kuna vitu vingi vya kisasa linazidi jiji la Mwanza.
Ukiona mji wowote wa Kenya unalingana kwa watu na mji wetu, ujue wa kwetu umepitwa mbali sana kimaendeleo (ukitoa Arusha na Moshi). Fikiria mji wa Nakuru, tangu zamani ni mmojawapo wa miji the most romantic in East African, at par with Arusha.
Miji ya Kenya ni kama Ulaya ambako hawana miji mikubwa sana lakini ina maendeleo kuliko ile ya sehemu nyingine duniani. Ukienda Ulaya nzima, kuna majiji yasiyozidi tano (Paris, London, Frankfurt, Moscow) yenye skyscrapers ndefu nyingi lakini ukienda kwa ubora wa miji, Ujerumani pekee kuna majiji zaidi ya kumi - Berlin, Hamburg, Munchen, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Bremen, Hannover, Dresden na Leipzig yenye ubora kuliko Dar licha ya majiji hayo yote kuwa na watu wachache kuliko Dar.
If Kisumu was elevated to city status? Mwanza and Arusha deserve too, they equal Kisumu. What I'm suprised is to learn Eldoret and Nakuru are not cities. While Mbeya is one of the city in Tanzania, frankly speaking Eldoret and Nakuru surpass Mbeya city by far not even closeits surprising how Tanzanians are trying to say that they have more cities but Tanzania only has one city...the rest are towns and villages...Dodoma the capital looks like Turkana...no development whatsoever...😀😀😀dont compare Kenya to dirt...
they surpass them in terms of what? maybe population but if you are talking about infrastructure, Eldoret beats those large villages of Tanzania hands down...If Kisumu was elevated to city status?
