Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania National Roads Agency (Tanroads) and Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Company (SMCC) will today sign a contract for the construction of a new bridge along the Gerezani Bandari road.

The project, which is funded by the government of Japan through its Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica), aims at replacing the existing two-lane bridge by constructing a new four-lane bridge.

“The project will increase traffic volume as well as boost economic activities,” a public relation advisor of Jica, Mr Raymond Msoffe, said yesterday.

According to him, the new bridge has a well-considered design which can accommodate a new service route of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Standard Gauge Railway passing under it.

The signing ceremony will be attended by the minister of Works, Transport and Communication Mr Isack Kamwele, Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam Mr Paul Makonda, Tanroads chief executive officer Patrick Mfugale and chief representative of Jica Tanzania.

“SMCC is a Japanese contractor which successfully completed the first flyover in the country (Mfugale flyover) in September last year,” Mr Msoffe stressed. Jica believes that SMCC will accomplish the work on time with vivid quality as it was for the Mfugale Flyover.

Na kwa sababu wali over look kutokana na kukurupuka basi hicho kipande bado kinatafutiwa wapi kiungwe.
Kwani tukikubali tumekosea tutakufa ?

Transit cargo kwenda Uganda na mizigo ya Moro , Dodoma, na Maanza ! Ndio itapakiwa kwa SGR kuanzia hapo.
Na ile ya Rwanda , DRC , Zambia na Burundi itapakiwa hapo na Magari kama kawaida.
Kawailizeni tena TRC kama haya sio kweli .
SGR haitopita Bandari kwa kusahau na pia kwa sasa sio muhimu kwani nchi zinazotumia sana Bandari yetu ni
Zambia
DRC
Rwanda
Malawi
Huko Uganda cargo yao inayopitia Dar ni michache sana. Na hatutarajii kama watabadilisha mjia kutoka Mombasa ambako njia ni fipi zaidi na efficient ya MSA port ni bora zaidi.
Kwa sasa ujenzi kulekea Rwanda utachukua may another 10years kwani Rwanda wenyewe hawako tayari kuwekeza gharama kubwa labda tuwapekee mpaka mlangoni.
Miradi hii ni mizuri na mawazo yalikua mazuri lakini yamefanyika kwa ego ya kisiasa.

Wewe jamaa gerezani bridge ni sehemu ya DART project no. 2
Daraja litainuliwa ili njia za train ya kati ambazo zipo chini pale Puma zisingiliane na magari.
Mnakuja hapa kufanya propaganda na hamwelewi kitu.
Hio project walo zindua ni part ya mssada wa JiCa kuondoa foleni Dar.
Ni mipango ilikua tangu 2009 . Ni ongoing project inaendelea.

Kama upo dar una ijua bridge ya kurasini chini kuja railway inayo cross kilwa road.
Hii rail ikitumika sana kwa train za mafuta. Tankers
Nafurahi mnakubali kuwa kwa sasa SGR haito pita Port.

Pia kipande cha Dar Moro hakitosaidia Shughuli za bandari hata ikimaliza to Makutupora still kipande hicho hakina umuhimu kwa bandari.
Nji pekee ambayo ingeboresha port ni kwa SGR kuingia port na kubeba Container Zote hadi Ruvu ambako kujengwe inland port na trucks zibebe mizigo hapo.
Hii itapunguza trucks kuja Dar hivo itaondoa foleni bandarini .
Kwa sasa tutapakia Abiria hadi Moro na Dodoma.

Huyo hana tofauti na wale waliowahi kusema tuonyesheni kilometer 1 ya reli, leo hii kilometer 1 zipo ila hawaulizi tena utadhan hawakuwahi kuuliza. So mwacheni alivyo, wala msibishane nae, mda tu ndo utamprove wrong! Kubishana nae ni kupoteza mda.

Nafahamu mkataba wa bima wa SGR unahusu nini a kuanzia wapi kwa awamu ya kwanza .
So nikisema reli hii inayojengwa na SGR kwa sasa haifiki bandarini najua kwa uhakika nasema kitu gani.
Kama itajengwa baadae , mwakani au kesho itakua ni baada ya kukosea na kurekebisha na itahusu renda na gharama na bajeti nyengine.
Na wanaweza kuoewa Yapi au wengine lakini Muhimu tunajua 80% ya kazi ya Dar Moro imekamilika . 20% inaendelea japo sio kwa spidi ile ya kwanza na pia hio 20% ha include kazi ya kupeleka reli bandarini.
