Kenyan SGR should be compared to Tazara because both are Chinese built, same types of locomotive technology and rolling stocks, same style of chinese stations, same source of energy and same speed. Tz SGR is way above Kenyan sgr in specs quality and standards

The locomotives are different , your stations look like somewhere in China, ours don't. The speed of Tazara is 45km/hr at best.
Tazara can hardly carry 5m tonnes a year, Kenya SGR is designed for 22m tonnes! Even your electric SGR cannot match up to this!
 
Umetoa wapi huu upumbavu jua maana ya marshalling yard kwanza! U do shunting after loading the wagons! Therefore the position is not that important, mind u if the train goes to the coast the role is vice versa!

Process ya shunting ni treni inagawanywa na Kila moja kupelekea sehemu tofauti pale kwa container yard, pale ndo inabidi Kila wagon inasukumaa kivyake hadi pale container inayofaa kubebwa ipo... Hivyo ndo sorting inafanywa kabisa manake Kila wagon inabeba mizigo inaoyenda mahali pamoja alafu baadae zikiunganishwa inakua complete train yenye mizigo inayoenda pamoja ,. So marshaling yard comes first before dry port....


Na kama mizigo inatoka upcountry, sorting inafanywa pale kwa dry port which sometimes doubles as a marshaling yard.... Ikija pwani haishukishwi kwa marshaling yard ya pwani, inapelekwa direct kwa port kwasababu ilishakua sorted huko upcountry.

Hii model ni huko Kunyaland! TPA wana model tofauti na cargo ya kuja coastal toka hinterlands si lazima iwe tu ya overseas! Kuna nyingine destination Pwani, Morogoro na hata Dar yenyewe!

TRC wanaoperate block trains kitambo sana masuala ya shunting yapo kwa kiasi kidogo sana.
