Dawa ya COVID-19 bado haijapatikana na chanjo pia hakuna.

Kwa sasa yanafanyika majaribio (Clinical Trials) kwa baadhi ya dawa ambazo tayari zipo na zinatibu magonjwa mengine tofauti na COVID-19.

Miongoni mwa dawa hizo ni Remdesivir ambayo hutumika kutibu Ebola. Pia kuna hiyo iliyotajwa katika huo uzi; Fapilavir, isitoshe kuna nyinginezo kama vile Chloroquine Phosphate ambayo hutumika dhidi ya Malaria.

Dawa zote hizo nilizozitaja na nyinginezo zinatumika kama majaribio na si kweli kwamba dawa imekwisha kupatikana.

  • Chinese media reported that Dr Liu Zhiming of Wuchang Hospital died today
  • But a Hubei health official said the hospital director 'is still being resuscitated'
  • The same situation happened to Dr Li Wenliang, a whistle-blower of the virus
  • Web users accused authorities of covering up Dr Li's death to avoid criticism
  • Last Friday, a 59-year-old nurse from Wuchang Hospital also died of the disease

A Hubei health official has said the head of a Wuhan hospital is still being treated after media reported he had died of the novel coronavirus.

Dr Liu Zhiming from Wuchang Hospital is undergoing resuscitation after falling critically ill, according to the social media account of a director from Hubei Provincial Health Commission.

The conflicting reports resemble the coverage of the death of Dr Li Wenliang, who was punished for sounding the alarm over the coronavirus and lost his life to the disease earlier this month. [Daily Mail: Published; 16:56 GMT, 17 February 2020]
