Regal Barça recorded their second win in the ACB league with a 78-85 win over Granada. It's always a special court for Navarro, who made his debut there 13 years ago and today he chalked up 24 points.

Juan Carlos Navarro again led Regal Barça to an ACB win - their second of the season and their first on the road - despite a strong effort from Granada who had Coby Karl, leading scorer Joe Ingles and Yaroslav Korolev to thank for their resistance.

With Barça playing at pace, they soon took a 16-22 lead thanks to some good play from Navarro, Ricky and Morris. Try as Granada might to close the gap, Barça always seemed to have the resources to keep a safe distance ahead, though in defence, Joe Ingles was causing problems. The teams went in at 36-42 at the break.

Granada hit back
However, Granada were prepared to take the European Champions on and with Paulo Prestes and Jon Stefansson giving valuable support off the bench they turned the score around to lead 57-52 on 29 minutes.

Navarro and Lakovic take control
Navarro and Sada led the fightback and the period closed at 57-58 and Barça maintained a minimal distance into the final quarter before a three pointer and four free throws from Lakovic together with a point from Navarro made it 78-85 to point the game well out of Granada's reach.

Eto’o confirmed that he was at the Ciutat Esportiva complex to meet with Zubizarreta, the club’s sporting director of professional football, and those responsible for the youth set-up to maintain the links that the Samuel Eto’o Foundation has with the Fundació FC Barcelona.

Barça have 5.5 million followers within Spain, according to Sport+Markt. That gives them 29 per cent of football fans, the seventh largest percentage for one team in any country in Europe. Real Madrid have the most supporters in Spain with 6.8 million, which equates to 39 per cent.

From having 44.1 million fans in 2009 the Blaugrana can now boast 57.8 million which means a further 13.7 million now claim to follow the team. Real Madrid have gone in the opposite direction as they have around 10 million less than they did a year ago. Study by Sport+Markt has revealed

Leo Messi has scored his 31st international goal for Barça, thus equalling the record set by Rivaldo. He also ties Alcántara as the fifth highest scorer in club history.

Leo Messi's brace against Copenhagen has set two new milestones. He equals Brazilian Rivaldo (1997-02) as the highest Barça goal-getter in international competitions. And he is also now the joint fifth highest all-time scorer for the club, a position he shares with the great Paulino Alcántara.

Rivaldo and Messi are currently neck and neck for FCB in international competitions with 31 goals. The Brazilian got 25 in the Champions League, 5 in the UEFA Cup and 1 in the European Super Cup. Meanwhile, the Argentine has 29 in the Champions League and 2 in the Clubs World Cup. Against Panathinaikos, earlier this season, Messi already became top FCB scorer in the European Cup / Champions League.

Leo Messi set another milestone against Copenhagen by becoming the fifth highest goalscorer in club history. With 137, he joins the legendary Paulino Álcantara. Barça Borges made it eight wins out of eight with a 23-31 win over near neighbours Granollers to confirm their top spot in the league ahead of the break in the competition.

Xavi Pascual's team faced down a hostile home crowd and led almost right from the start with Lazlo Nagy chalking up four goals in the opening eight minutes, as the team raced to a 22-12 lead by half time. Although they dropped off a little in the second half, they eventually ran out comfortable winners.
