Potential Barcelona Lineup to Face Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League

Barcelona come into their first away game in this year's Champions League with a trip to Borussia Monchengladbach after thrashing Celtic 7-0 earlier this month.


Gladbach, however, come into their second Champions League match having lost 4-0 away to Pep Guardiola's Mancehster City and will be looking to better their performance in that match, while Barcelona will be looking to swoop past their opponents once again.


Here's how the Catalan giants could lineup...

Since the exodus of Claudio Bravo, Ter Stegen has stepped up to take the number one spot and has rarely been contested for it.

      Jordi Alba
Centre-back Samuel Umtiti is ruled out with an injury this match after missing two matches as the result of an internal ligament strain. Meaning that Mascherano will likely come into to take his place alongside Pique in the central defence.


While coming in at left-back is expected to be Jordi Alba after being rested over the weekend. With Sergio Roberto filling in at right-back once more.

      Iniesta
Barcelona seem to have a new midfield trio forming in the form of Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta. The trio are likely to start once again after Ivan Rakitic and Andres Iniesta were rested over the weekend in their 5-0 riot over Sporting Gijon.


While Sergio Busquets will resume service once more as he did over the weekend.

The big omission from Barcelona's side and more importantly the attack is that of Lionel Messi who missed the match over the weekend after he had torn his right abductor with his sides draw with Atheltico Madrid.


Meaning that Turan could fill in for the Argentine superstar as he has done previously in the current campaign.


Alongside the other two thirds of MSN, Suarez and Neymar, who are more than capable of taking Barcelona through this match without Messi.
