Krzysztof Piatek has taken a private flight to Germany, where the Milan striker will have his Hertha Berlin medical tomorrow morning.

The Poland international is ready to complete the transfer, worth €27m plus performance-related bonuses.

He had joined from Genoa only a year ago at a cost of €38m, but scored just 16 goals in 41 competitive games.

Sky Sport Italia and others pictured Piatek arriving at Linate airport in Milan to take the private plane to Berlin.

Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United were linked, but they all wanted to take him on loan with option to buy.

The Rossoneri were determined to make it a permanent sale and Hertha Berlin met their conditions.

According to the latest reports, Milan do not intend to bring in a replacement for Piatek, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic arrived in January and Ante Rebic is proving to be an effective support striker.

Suso bids farewell to Milan with emotional message: “I will always be your fan” – video

Suso has paid an emotional tribute to the AC Milan players, staff and fans after sealing his return to Spain with LaLiga side Sevilla.
The Spaniard arrived from Liverpool all the way back in January 2015, but his cycle has come to an end. On Wednesday night it was confirmed that he will join Sevilla on an 18-month loan with an option to buy, which will turn into an obligation if certain conditions are met.
The 26-year-old bid farewell to Milan on social media, via a video of some of his best highlights at the club, and he also uttered the following words…

“It was a very complicated night, my last in Milan. I am a little confused. I have always spoken little, but I have always loved Milano and Milan,” he said (via MilanNews.it).
“I have always given everything for these colours and I go on tiptoe, exactly how I arrived years ago. I have never made any proclamations or promises, I have

“I have always given everything for these colours and I go on tiptoe, exactly how I arrived years ago. I have never made any proclamations or promises, I have never loved to exaggerate.

I have always and only tried to defend the AC Milan shirt. In less dark years I have always put my face, legs and heart in it. Sometimes I did well, sometimes I didn’t, but I always did everything with honesty, affection and attachment.

“I became a man with you, I acquired my credibility on the field and conquered the national team, thanks to you. I became a man and father off the field.

I will miss the walks in the Duomo, I will miss Milan, the people who work there, my companions, my friends, all the managers and the fans. But above all I will miss the Rossoneri shirt, which is beautiful and I have always respected and loved.

“I always demanded the maximum from myself and I go away without remorse and regrets, with my head held high. My task here is finished, now it’s not up to me, but I will never forget anything, neither the beautiful nor the less beautiful things. I arrived in an AC Milan in difficulty, but I always gave my willingness to defend this club on the pitch.

“We have shared interesting years: several owners, many managers, numerous coaches. I’m here today, and you have no idea what I’m feeling right now. I have not been and I will not be good even this time to tell my emotions. But believe me, I’ll miss you. Good luck. Thanks Milan, I will always be your fan. With affection, Suso.”

AC Milan have set their sights on Braga centre-forward Paulinho as a potential signing for the summer transfer window, according to a report.

After Krzysztof Piatek’s departure to Hertha Berlin in a €27m deal, Milan boss Stefano Pioli has just Rafael Leao and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as recognised strikers, which is arguably dangerous given the team plays with a 4-4-2.

Il Corriere della Sera reported earlier on Thursday that despite the fact Milan have sold both Piatek and Suso (to Sevilla), replacements will not arrive for either.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira, Boban and Maldini will not push ahead with a last minute bid to sign another striker.

Instead, they have their eyes on Paulinho of Primeira Liga side Braga for the summer window. The 27-year-old has nine league goals this season and currently has a release clause in his contract of €15m, and Schira claims that Milan sporting director Ricky Massara followed him while at Roma.

In all competitions, Paulinho has 45 goals and 15 assists in 112 appearances.

Gianluca Di Marzio, who spoke on Sky Sport 24, provided further details on Saelemaekers, an external of Anderlecht next to the Rossoneri outfit: "Milan had been following him for at least a year.

Promoted from all points of view, not only for his young age age, he is a '99, but also for his tactical flexibility. He can play both as a midfielder on the right and as an outsider on the left, he would have a great future also as a full back, therefore as a lower outsider.

Very disciplined player but also very talented, and we know that Milan is very attentive to these young prospects to try to create an important and interesting future that can last over time. If Milan had not taken it now he would have liked to have taken it by June anyway

Former sporting director Ariedo Braida could return to AC Milan in the not too distant future, according to a report.

There has been lots of speculation regarding the future of the Rossoneri under Elliott Management and if in fact the American hedge fund are looking to sell Milan to the first buyer who tables an acceptable offer.

Our correspondent Vito Angele informed us that he had learned through a friend of Braida that talks have progressed to the extent that Louis Vuitton owner Bernard Arnault is close to sealing a deal worth almost €1billion to buy the Rossoneri.

According to MilanNews24.it , Braida – a pillar of the Berlusconi-Galliani era at Milan a key figure in the club’s international successes – may return as a market consultant in the near future.

The 73-year-old has ended his experience at Barcelona and is waiting for a call from Milan if they were to change ownership.

The report adds that the Arnault and Louis Vuitton rumours are still an unknown, but what seems to be certain is that Milan ‘will not be in Elliott’s hands for much longer’.

After Ricardo Rodríguez headed to PSV for the second half of the season, Milan have secured the signing of his replacement: Robinson of Wigan Athletic.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio and Milannews.it, Robinson will join Milan on loan with option to buy, which can turn into an obligation if certain conditions are met. The buy-out amount is set at €7m.

The English-born American, who has 7 appearances for the USA National team, played at Wigan Athletic for the past two seasons. The 22-year-old had 51 appearances to his name, and even though his team are in the 22nd place in the English second division, he’s convinced Milan to take him.

Juan Jesus and Matías Viña (and Diego Laxalt) were also targets of Milan but eventually they chose to go for Robinson, who will act as the substitute of Theo Hernández.

Alexis Saelemaekers is replacing Suso at Milan, he will sign with the Diavolo on Deadline Day.

Milan yesterday sent Suso to Sevilla on an 18-month loan with option to buy, which can become an obligation once certain objectives and conditions are met.

The Rossoneri have decided to replace the Spaniard with a 20-year-old Belgian: Alexis Saelemaekers from Anderlecht, who scored 2 goals in 59 appearances.

Saelemaekers can play all across the right side, he’s capable of playing as a winger, midfielder and even defender. According to Milannews.it, the formula should be a loan with an option to buy, which can become an obligation, for a total amount of €7-8m. Tomorrow he’ll be in town for the medical.

The transfer window shuts on Friday at 20:00 CET. In addition to Saelemaekers, Milan could also sign a left back. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, however, there are no more talks for Matías Viña.

Saelemaekers will join Milan on loan for €3.5M with obligation to buy for another €3.5M. He should sign a five-year deal. Alexis is flying to Italy today to agree terms with Milan

Piatek: “The transfer to Milan was the realization of my childhood dreams. I never thought I could score goals wearing the Rossonero shirt and fight for the return to the Champions League until the final minutes of the season.

The goals against Napoli, Roma, Atalanta and Juventus. The compliments from Shevchenko, Inzaghi and the other great Milan stars. The voice of the Curva Sud “Ale Piatek Ale pum pum pum”, Tiziano Crudeli’s expressions.

The joy of plenty of fans. All this will remain in my memory for a long period of time —> Milan Eye on Twitter

AC Milan are anxious about sitting down with agent Mino Raiola to discuss the renewal of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, a report claims.

The 20-year-old has been nothing short of exceptional for the Rossoneri this season and is virtually the first name on the team sheet when fit, alongside captain Alessio Romagnoli.

Calciomercato.com reported recently that a lot will depend on the ability of Milan to launch a truly ambitious and competitive project, the report claims, something which Raiola warned Elliott Management before the game against Brescia.

According to Friday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it –Donnarumma’s contract is a ‘very delicate issue; that will be addressed in the next few weeks.

The paper notes that Raiola has not hesitated to criticise Elliott’s project and the fear is that, in his head, there is no idea of going further than Gigio’s current deal, which expires in 2021.

Milan, with Financial Fair Play at the door, cannot afford to offer a new contract worth €6million per season, just as it is unrealistic to think that Gigio and his entourage would accept a pay cut.

At this point, without the renewal, in the summer the parties could arrive at a solution that satisfies everyone – a sale of around €50million which would allow the club to make a huge capital gain.

Il Corriere della Sera recently reported that Real Madrid are leading Juventus and PSG for Donnarumma , who is valued around the €70million mark.

Eight years after the exchange between Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini, another swap deal between Milan and rivals Inter could be brewing.

According to what is being reported by
interlive.it , the next four to five months could be crucial for the future of Gianluigi Donnarumma.

With his contract expiring in June 2021, it is currently difficult to see how the Rossoneri would be able to sit down with Mino Raiola and offer the pay rise he would want for his client.

This appears to be the common opinion of the Italian press too, and while Raiola ‘continues to flirt’ with the idea of taking Donnarumma to Juventus, an eye must be kept on Inter as Marotta and Ausilio are looking for a worthy heir to Samir Handanovic.

The report suggests that the Nerazzurri could try and convince their rivals to part with Donnarumma because they own a player who ‘has long been tickling the imagination of the Rossoneri leadership’ in Mauro Icardi.

It would be a shock exchange, achievable only if the Argentine decided to end his adventure at Paris Saint-Germain early and the option to buy at around €70m was not activated.
Icardo could be enticed by the idea of a return to Milano where his family has remained, but this time on the red side.

AC Milan full-back Diego Laxalt is close to cutting short his loan spell with Torino and sealing a move to Fiorentina, reports claim.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, La Viola are looking to make a flourish on deadline day having found an agreement with Hellas Verona for the purchase of Sofyan Amrabat overnight.

Di Marzio adds that they are about to close another operation, as Laxalt is about to cut short his season-long loan with Torino in order to move to Florence.

The same source claimed that Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban were considering the idea of recalling Laxalt from his loan so he can provide cover for Theo Hernandez until June.

However, Wigan defender Antonee Robinson is in Milano ahead of what MilanNews.it claim will will be a loan with the option to buy set at €7million.

Calciomercato.com even reported that Russian Premier League giants CSKA Moscow are keen on Laxalt, hinting they may yet make their own move, but now it seems Fiorentina have got their man.

AC Milan have seen a last minute bid to sign Lokomotiv Moscow star Aleksey Miranchuk rejected, according to a report.

The 24-year-old, who predominantly plays as an attacking midfielder, has racked up nine goals and four assists in 21 appearances for Lokomotiv so far this season, impressing in the Champions League.

According to Sport Express (via Stefano Conforti on Twitter), the Rossoneri made an approach to sign the playmaker on Thursday on the basis of a loan with option to buy.

However, the club from the Russian capital rejected the bid – most likely due to the timing – though it is claimed that the two parties will return for talks in the summer.

It was actually previously reported by Calciomercato.com that Milan were offered the chance to sign Miranchuk in December, but the club declined as they wish to focus on other profiles – with Zvonomir Boban himself apparently giving the response.

Juventus have also been heavily linked with a move for Miranchuk, having faced him in the group stages of the Champions League, while Manchester United have also been credit with interest.
