Adriano Galliani spoke of Sandro Tonali: "A very good player.
But he doesn't seem like the new Pirlo to me.
If he were to arrive I would be very happy, being an AC Milan fan from an early age he would give added value to the team."

🎙️Galliani on Ibrahimovic:"10 years later he returns to Milan: a great anniversary! He is a player who has shown that he can make a difference on the pitch and in the locker room. I love him very much."

📰Tuttosport: In the coming days Milan and Chelsea would finally find an agreement on the figures in the Bakayoko deal. This is supposed to be Bakayoko's week. https://t.co/XLw9TK6dNG

Cellino: 'Tonali only wanted Milan'

Brescia President Massimo Cellino confirms Sandro Tonali had a deal with Inter, but ‘wanted no other options’ when he heard Milan were interested, rejecting Barcelona and Manchester United.

The 20-year-old grew up supporting the Rossoneri, so was understandably enthusiastic about the idea of joining the red and black side of San Siro.

“I know that Beppe Marotta really wanted Tonali, and that Antonio Conte appreciated him, so I think his agent had agreed terms with Inter,” Cellino told Top Calcio 24.

“He was determined and convinced that he was going to Inter, but all this time dragged on and it was practically the start of the new season with still nothing happening.

“As soon as Milan showed real interest, he did not want to listen to any other options. I also have historically a good rapport with Milan and we reached an agreement with Paolo Maldini quite quickly.

“We also had interest from Barcelona and Manchester United, but the lad is in love with Milan and went crazy once he heard of their offer, because he supports them.”

Tonali is due to arrive on loan for €10m with option to buy for €15m and another €10m in add-ons, including a percentage of his sell-on fee.

A medical is expected over the next few days.

“Those figures are correct, but we turned down €65m from Barcelona and United had offered €10m more than Milan,” claimed Cellino.

"Skriniar? He has been with us for three years and has done very well. Last season he played less games but we will continue to count on him, there are no ongoing negotiations for him."

"Brozovic? He has understood his wrong attitudes during the season, he is another player we are counting on. If an offer arrives that satisfies the player, we will take it into consideration, it doesn't depend only on us but also on the player's will."

"Perisic? He had a good season on loan, we will give him and Nainggolan the opportunity to return to training and play their cards. There is already an agreement with Conte to give both players a chance."

"Dalbert & Biraghi? They are both returning to their respective clubs and it will probably stay that way."

"Vice Lukaku? It is practically impossible to find a vice lukaku. We have four strikers including Perisic, five with Esposito. We consider the attacking department complete."

Sportitalia: Lyon show interest in signing Milan midfielder Paqueta – the latest

By Oliver Fisher - 3 September 2020, 17:02
Ligue 1 side Lyon have expressed an interest in signing AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta, according to a report.

After a difficult season, it has been speculated that the Brazil international could depart a year and a half after his arrival from Flamengo. The problem is though that Milan must sell for at least €25million to avoid a capital loss on the balance sheet.

There have been rumours that his future is away from the club, but he put that to one side on Wednesday evening, scoring twice to lead a comeback against Novara.

According to Gianluigi Longari of Sportitalia, Lyon are now looking for a player with quality and technical ability for their midfield department, and Paqueta is one of the names being considered.

The Brazilian remains an idea for now with no official bids or offers having been made, but it is good news for Milan who may soon have a dilemma on their hands.

Inter 'looking to offload multiple players to fund move for N'Golo Kante'
2 hours ago / autty
Inter Milan are lining up a move for Chelsea star N'Golo Kante and will look to offload three players in order to fund the deal, according to reports in Italy.

Antonio Conte is desperate for a reunion with the Frenchman, having brought him to Stamford Bridge from Leicester in 2016.

Having won the Premier League title and FA Cup with Kante in his squad, Conte is intent on linking up with the midfielder once again, but will have to sell before he buys.

According to CalcioMercato, Conte will move on Joao Mario, Dalbert Henrique and Ivan Perisic in order to raise funds for their Kante bid, while Christian Eriksen, Milan Skriniar and Marcelo Brozovic are also fighting for their futures at the club.

Conte is looking to make Kante his sixth Premier League signing since becoming bos of Inter last summer. During his tenure he has signed Romelu Lukaku, Eriksen, Ashley Young, Victor Moses and Alexis Sanchez.

While previous reports suggested that Inter were looking at a loan deal with an option to buy for £44.5million, Chelsea would be looking for nearly double that figure if they were to let go of their World Cup winning midfielder.

Boss Frank Lampard has also showed signs of wanting to keep the 29-year-old after handing him the captain's armband in the draw over Brighton last weekend.

Kante is also thought to favour staying at the club and is likely to turn down a move to Italy, according to Goal.

Following an injury-hit season under Lampard, Kante is keen to regain his place in the starting XI and help fire the Blues to some silverware, along with the club's marquee summer signings.

Chelsea have taken their summer spending to over £230m once the deal for Kai Havertz has been confirmed.

Havertz follows Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell into the club, along with the two free acquisitions of Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr.

There are six more weeks before the market closes and the Blues are still targeting a move for West Ham star Declan Rice.

AC Milan looking at alternatives to Bakayoko
Posted on September 2, 2020 by Rossonero

AC Milan have been trying to sign back Bakayoko from Chelsea for a while but now the Rossoneri are looking around for alternatives.
The last days of August have been quite positive for AC Milan. Technical director Paolo Maldini has been very active on the transfer market.

After having successfully closed negotiations with Brescia for Sandro Tonali and Real Madrid for Diaz, AC Milan want to do the same for Tiemoue Bakayoko. The Rossoneri continue to talk with Chelsea but so far a deal hasn’t been reached.

Milan would like to sign back Bakayoko on loan with the right to buy but Chelsea aren’t convinced. The Blues want the loan to be with obligation to buy for at least 30 million euros, while Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara offer around 20 million. At this point the Rossoneri have started to look around.

According to Sky Sport, AC Milan are seriously interested in Boubakary Soumare. The Rossoneri scouts have strongly sponsored the name of the 21-year-old French defensive midfielder to the management after an impressive campaign in Ligue 1. Nevertheless, Lille are not a club that sell at cheap prices.

Soumare has a price tag of around 35 million euros but wages considerably lower than Bakayoko. The problem is that Lille would hardly accept a loan move neither with the right or obligation to sell their gem.

*GdS: Maldini trying to assert his will on Chelsea as club’s haggle over €10m difference*

Friday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) explains that Milan and Chelsea have an agreement on the formula, which will be a loan with option to buy, but there is still a substantial difference regarding the figure of the option.

The Rossoneri want it to be set at €20m, thus taking the total operation to €22-23m when factoring in loan fee, while the Blues are pushing to establish it at €30m .

In the summer of 2018 Milan paid a €5m loan and the option to buy was set at €35m, and at the end of the season he was not signed because the figures were too high, something the club want to avoid.

Paolo Maldini hopes to assert his will, with a final price closer to €20m than €30m. Milan are optimistic and hope that the deal can be unlocked in the next few days, as the player’s agent – Federico Pastorello – is also working to get things done.

Bakayoko’s desire has always been clear: he wants to return to Milan. Furthermore, the Frenchman has a contract expiring in June 2022 and therefore Chelsea are in a precarious situation.

Good Maldini and Massara should keep pushing forward for the €20m buy option, and if Chelsea doesn't accept we should go for alternative Florentino Luis.

Galliani:"My heart aches for not being able to be present for the match of Milan - Monza. Berlusconi is sorry too. We promised ourselves that next year we will return to play in San Siro, but in Serie A."

📰SportMediaset: Milan presented an offer of €3M for the loan move of Bakayoko and €27M for the buy-option. Chelsea do not move and ask for €30M instead for the buy-option. The negotiations continue.
Milan made contacts with Boubakary Soumaré and Florentino Luis as precaution.

Brahim Díaz spoke to MilanTV after completing his move from Real Madrid.

Brahim became the first Milan player to officially join the club this summer (next week he’ll be joined by Sandro Tonali), and after signing the contract at the Diavolo HQ, which ties him to the Red and Black colors for one season on loan (with no option to buy), he spoke to MilanTV:

“My first impressions of being a Milan player are very positive. You can really tell what kind of club Milan is, it’s a privilege to be playing for such a big Club with a rich history. It’s clear from the way the fans adore their team. As I said, it’s an honor for me to be playing for this great club.

“Theo? I’ve not had the chance to talk to Theo Hernández yet. But I’m sure that as soon as I join the team, at the first training session, I expect that he’ll give me a warm welcome since he played for Real Madrid, he knows how it feels, and now I’m in Italy too I think it will be easy to settle in, because it’s an incredible group of players.

“My former coaches? I’ve worked with coaches like Pep Guardiola and Zidane, who was my last coach. I know they both played in Italy but my last coach at Madrid was Zidane and he was really kind to me there and he spoke very highly of Italy and Serie A and because he was here, close to Milano, and he really likes the city.

“My favorite player? There are a lot that I like, I couldn’t pick one! Players who can cover a variety of roles, capable of making the difference… if it were up to me, I wouldn’t be able to pick just one. In this moment, I’m only thinking about myself and how I can help this team.

“The #21 shirt? Wearing the shirt number that Ibrahimović wore last season, as I’ve already said, is an honor. It comes with a lot of pressure but I’m happy with that because he’s a Milan legend and this year I’ll wear that shirt with passion and above all I want to play good football to entertain the Rossoneri fans, it’s an honor to wear this shirt.

“The fans? They’ll appreciate my hard work, I don’t think talent alone is enough. I hope we’ll have fun together with the runs that I make both on the wings and in the center. It’s all about balance on the pitch, it’s important we have a good time together and I’m sure that it’ll be a great year for us all.”

Maldini on his son Daniel: "He's already played two games in Serie A, the excitement has already gone. Now it's up to him to consolidate his position in the first team and try to find space." https://t.co/2F7Xcx6LKu

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has asked Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara for four more signings to complete his squad, a report claims.

Having already got deals for Sandro Tonali and Brahim Diaz over the line, Pioli is determined to secure at least two options in every position in his 4-2-3-1.

According to Calciomercato.com, in addition to the re-signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Pioli asked for nine reinforcements from the club this summer when he signed his new deal.

The market has so far given the confirmation of Ibrahimovic, Kjaer and Saelemaekers, plus Brahim and Tonali, but there are still four areas that need addressing.

Pioli has asked for a reinforcement in the full-back department, possibly on the right with the possibility that one of Conti or Calabria leaves.

In defence he wants another signing to join Romagnoli and Kjaer, but one of Duarte or Musacchio must leave first. Then, a new deputy to Gianluigi Donnarumma will have to arrive too.

Finally, Pioli wants another central midfielder. Tiemoué Bakayoko is the player on the radar, but currently there are difficulties regarding the operation.

Then, in the last days of the transfer market there could be opportunities suitable for Milan.
