The plan for Jens Petter Hauge’s future has emerged amid a lack of playing time over the past few months, according to a report.
Calciomercato.com writes how Hauge’s first season with the Rossoneri has been a succession of emotions, starting with a goal for Bodo/Glimt at San Siro in the Europa League qualifiers, joining Milan less than a week later, scoring against Celtic in the Europa League then away against Napoli, with more important goals following.
However, he has struggled for appearances in the last few months. A drop in condition, exclusion from the Europa League squad list and the many games spent on the bench without setting foot on the pitch even for the final few minutes have left some fans baffled.
Stefano Pioli in the most delicate moment of the season, preferred to rely on the most experienced players or those who have been at Milan for several years, a choice that Hauge respected without batting an eyelid. Last month he scored a decisive equaliser against Sampdoria, but has not played a minute since.
From Monday – after the game against Atalanta – Milan will analyse all their players on a case by case basis. Among these is that of Hauge who will probably need to find space to grow, and while the club has reiterated their total confidence in the Norwegian, a loan seems to be the right solution in order not to waste the investment.
