1. One uses electricity, the other diesel.
2. One can haul double stacked carriages, another cannot.

When I traveled via Kenya's SGR, it averaged 110kph from Nairobi to Mombasa. Your trains, I'm told, will peak 160kph. If that's the peak, the average will definitely range between 100 to 130kph which is basically within the same range as the Kenyan ones.
