IMF April 2019 GDP Figures. Kenya Hits $99 Billion.. Tanzania Overtaken by Ghana

Yes they even kicked out mining companies and maintained 7% growth, lowest inflation, highest FDI in EAC.
They still maintain the best figures in peace and democracy index..
That is how they chooze to grow, not have unequal growth like this👇👇

FYI: Tanzania has nothing to do with kenya, they look up to singapore, malaysia, korea..Those are countries that grew out of sheer will of their own people and relatively firm leadership like magufulis
NEVER MENTION TANZANIA AND SINGAPORE IN ONE SENTENCE ITS LIKE COMPAIRING A SICK ANT (TZ) WITH A HEALTY ADULT ELEPHANT (SINGAPORE)

In nominal GDP, yes. But in all other parameters, including better standards of living, ie: better public Hospitals, lower unemployment, food availability, water, road, electric, Peace and other, Kenya shall continue to play underdog card for the next decades.

GDP and GDP per capita measure just that.
A wealthy nation has all of the above. So you are not making sense. You are just saying things to make yourself feel happy.

Huna pesa ya kulipa matibabu where is GDP???😆😆😆😆😆👇👇👇👇

Kenya is still a poor country. We still have many problems.
A GDP of $100b does not amount to much.
But we're happy that we are the least poor in the region. 😂😂

mko sawa kwa sector zote mbona gdp yenu ni kidogo hivo
Hahahahaha, hahahahaha, cooked GDP as usual, it has zero effects on the ground. Ninyi ni wapenda SIFA za kijinga. Zaidi ya kujisifu, hiyo GDP inavyozidi kupanda, ndivyo hali ya maisha ya mkenya inavyozidi kuwa mbaya.

Well, the news has reached the rest of us.

Last week IMF released it's latest (2019) GDP figures.
Great news for Kenya, slow growth for Tanzania as usual.

Kenya has overtaken Ethiopia in the latest figures, and we're now just 1 year short of reaching $100 billion.
Tanzania has been overtaken by Ghana as expected.

Meanwhile, the gap between the GDPs of Kenya and Tanzania has grown from $23 billion last year, to $38 billion this year.
What that means is that the economy of Kenya is larger than Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi and South Sudan combined.

Tanzania is behind in everything, ata ile wanapenda kujidanganya ati PPP. They are behind everywhere.

Sasa, eliakeem na wenzake wataambia nini watu?

I would rather 1% of our population live like that, and the other 99% live decently.
Than having 99% of the population live in shanties like is the case in Dar is slum.

Nordic countries have the highest taxes, and they are the happiest countries.

Kenya has a smaller population than Tanzania, but consumes more beef, milk, and most food. Meaning most people in Tanzania sleep hungry or are underfed.

Higher inflation rate is your imagination. In any case, our shilling is more stable, so commodities especially imported, tend to remain around the same price.

US has a very high crime rate. It is still the largest economy.
