Death toll from coronavirus outbreak in Italy increases 13.5 percent as no sign of let up in killer contagion.

The death toll from the coronavirus pandemic continued its relentless rise in Europe on Sunday with Italy announcing 651 dead in one day, bringing its total to 5,476.

It was an increase of 13.5 percent but down from Saturday's figure when 793 people died.
The Canadian death toll from the coronavirus outbreak jumped almost 50 percent in less than a day, and the mayor of New York City - the US epicentre of the contagion - called the situation the greatest crisis since the Great Depression and warned hospitals would likely be overwhelmed in 10 days.

Globally, more than 13,000 people have now died from COVID-19. An estimated 92,000 of the 304,500 people who contracted the disease globally have recovered.

Pana mbinu tatu kuu za kuweza kupambana na ugonjwa wa Korona:

1. Stopisha kila kitu, zuia watu majumbani, nk., ikiambatana na kupima watu wengi ili kujua walioambukizwa, kuwatenga na kuwatibu.

2. Chanjo ya Korona, kila mtu achanjwe.

3. Kuuachilia ugonjwa usambae mpaka walio wengi wawe wameambukizwa (herd immunity)

Rejea: What is herd immunity and can it stop the coronavirus?


Nionavyo:

Stratejia ya 1, siyo rafiki kwa mataifa yanayoendelea kama vile Tanzania.

Stratejia ya 2, bado chanjo kugunduliwa, na inakadiriwa kuchukua miezi 18 mpaka ifike sokoni. Na bei yake inaweza kuzifilisi nchi zinazoendelea zikitaka kumchanja kila mwananchi. Kihalisia hii kwa sasa bado siyo mbinu ya kutegemewa sana.

3. Stratejia ya 3, kutumia mbinu za stratejia 1 na 2, kuuchelewesha ugonjwa ili mifumo ya afya isielemewe, na kuzuia watu wasife, lakini jamii ikafikia kinga ya kundi (herd immunity). Uingereza inatumia mbinu hii. Pamoja na nchi kadhaa.

HITIMISHO: Kwa mazingira ya Kitanzania, mchanyato maalum wa stratejia hizo tatu unaweza kuhusika.

Nimeandika nzur kwa herufi kubwa ili kuweka msisitizo msinielewe vibaya.
 
Hapana kwa sababu nchi kama Japan ina wazee wengi kuliko Italy and it was the first to have cases kabla ya hawa, tena wamepakana na china, finland je, netherlands

Japan ina wazee wengi na ipo karibu na nchi za kwanza kuathirika na Coronavirus lakini waliokufa kwa Coronavirus sio wengi.
Vile vile Germany inawazee karibia sawa na Italy lakini kiwango cha waathirika wa Coronavirus ni ndogo ukilinganisha na Italy!
Italy hawana good healthcare system na sasa hivi ime collapse!
