Jim Sinclair
Position: Chairman, CEO & Director
Mr. Sinclair provides Tanzanian Royalty Exploration with the strategy for its corporate growth and is primarily responsible for providing the leadership necessary for the Company to complete its evolution into a gold royalty company.
Mr. Sinclair became Chairman and CEO of Tanzanian Royalty Exploration following a Special Meeting of Shareholders held in April 2002 in which shareholders voted 98% in favour to approve a transaction for Tan Range to acquire Tanzanian American Development, a Tanzanian gold exploration company controlled by the Sinclair family.
Mr. Sinclair is primarily a precious metals specialist and a commodities and foreign currency trader. His past experience includes that of founder of the Sinclair Group of Companies (1977), which offered full brokerage services in stocks, bonds, and other investment vehicles. The companies, which operated branches in New York, Kansas City, Toronto, Chicago, London and Geneva, were sold in 1983. Mr. Sinclair served as a Precious Metal Advisor to Hunt Oil and the Hunt family from 1981 to 1984 for the liquidation of their silver position as a prerequisite for the $1 billion loan arranged by the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Paul Volker. Mr. Sinclair was a general partner and member of the executive committee of two New York Stock Exchange firms and also President of Sinclair Global Clearing Corporation (Commodity clearing firm) and Global Arbitrage (derivative dealer in metals and currencies). Mr. Sinclair was President of James Sinclair Financial Research SARL in Luxembourg. Mr. Sinclair held the position of Chairman of Sutton Resources from 1989 to 1995.
Jim Sinclair is the author of numerous magazine articles and three books, which deal with a variety of investment subjects, including precious metals, trading strategies and geopolitical events and their relationship to world economics and the markets.

John Deane, M.Sc.
Position: Director, President, Member Technical Committee
John Deane heads Tanzanian Royalty Exploration's regional office in Mwanza and is in charge of day-to-day exploration and administrative operations in Tanzania.
He joined the Company as Exploration Manager in July 1996, spending most of his time in Tanzania but also heading the Company's East Africa and Central African operations. In September 2004, he was appointed the Company's President.
Mr. Deane has 21 years experience in mining and exploration in Africa. He spent the majority of his early career with Gold Fields Namibia, managing base metal and gold exploration projects in addition to being in charge of regional target generation. He also spent two years working at the Otjihase Copper Mine in Namibia as a senior geologist.
He has a M.Sc. from the University of Cape Town (1993) and is a registered scientist with SACNASP (Reg. No.400005/05).

Joseph Kahama
Position: Director, Senior Vice President
Joseph Kahama became a director of Tanzanian Royalty Exploration Corporation in February 2008. Mr. Kahama has served as Senior Vice President of the Corporation since July 2007. A native of Tanzania, Mr. Kahama has served as president and director of the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Tanzania American International Development Corporation 2000 Ltd. ("Tanzam 2000"), since 1997. In his capacity as president of Tanzam 2000, Mr. Kahama has been responsible for corporate administration and also for maintaining good relations with government, vendors, and the Company's various business partners in Tanzania . Mr. Kahama is a councilor at the Tanzania Chamber of Energy & Minerals (TCME) where he represents the Company and its various Tanzanian subsidiaries. In 2007, he was appointed to the Tanzania National Business Council (TNBC) and the Local Investors Roundtable (LIRT). In 2006, Mr. Kahama was appointed as a member and advisor to the China Africa Business Council (CABC) which is headquartered in Beijing, Peoples Republic of China.

Marek Kreczmer M.Sc.(Geol.), B.Sc.(Geol.)
Position: Director, Chairman Technical Committee
Marek Kreczmer provides the management structure and technical guidance required to advance the exploration projects through the grass roots stage to early development stage.
Mr. Kreczmer served as President of the Company from 1991 until December of 2003. He led the initiative to fund Tan Range and has raised more than $23 million for exploration and development of mineral properties in eastern and southern Africa. He established the Company's operating subsidiary in Tanzania and oversees its operation. Mr. Kreczmer has initiated, formed and operated several exploration joint ventures with senior gold companies.
Mr. Kreczmer has well balanced background in the mineral exploration business. He was a project geologist for two leading Canadian explorers, Cameco and Granges Exploration. The exploration focus for these companies included base metals, uranium and gold. His responsibilities included all aspects of administering the exploration budget, on-site field management, and the set-up and establishment of an exploration team to deal with specific project objectives.

Position: Director
Victoria Luis provides Tanzanian Royalty Exploration with financial guidance in the areas of amalgamation, risk management and financial modeling for new ventures.
Prior to her association with Tanzanian Royalty, she was a board member of Tanzanian American Development (Tanzam) in addition to being its Chief Financial Officer, a position she also held with an associated company, Sinclair Financial.
Before joining Tanzam, Mrs. Luis held various management positions with General Electric Capital Corporation where she was part of a team that facilitated the amalgamation of companies acquired by GE.
She earned her Masters of Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting in 1998 and her Bachelors of Science in Finance in 1990.

Position: Director, Chairman Audit and Compensation Committee
Dr. Betts is an Associate Professor, Faculty of Business Administration, University of New Brunswick (UNB) Canada and is a Fellow of the New Brunswick Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA). He also serves as a director and chair of the Audit Committee of Minacs Worldwide Inc. and Slam Exploration Ltd. in addition to being a director and member of the Audit Committee of Tembec Inc. and the New Brunswick Power Corporation. He is a co-chair of the Board of Trustees of the UNB Pension Plan for Academic Employees and is a director of the Nature Conservancy for the Atlantic region. A former Finance Minister and Minister of Business with the Province of New Brunswick, Dr. Betts was awarded a PhD in Management from the School of Business at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario in 1992.

Anton Esterhuizen BSc (Hons) MSc (Mineral Exploration)
Position: Director, Member Technical Committee
Mr. Esterhuizen is an experienced geologist working extensively in Africa. Among his career highlights, he is credited with the discovery and evaluation of the Xstrata Group's world-class, high-grade Rhovan vanadium deposit in South Africa, the re-evaluation of the sizeable Burnstone gold deposit, also in South Africa, and a number of Tanzanian gold deposits, including the Tulawaka deposit, which attracted major players into Tanzania. He is responsible for the discovery of a number of titanium-zirconium mineral sand deposits including the world class Corridor Sands deposit in Mozambique and the Kwale deposit in Kenya. At present, Mr. Esterhuizen is Managing Director of Pangea Exploration (Pty) Limited in Johannesburg and a director of NorthWestern Mineral Ventures Inc. Mr. Esterhuizen is a fellow of the Geological Society of South Africa and the first recipient of the Des Pretorius Memorial Award for outstanding work in economic geology in Africa. He also received the Dreyer Award from the Society for Mining Metallurgy and Exploration Inc. for outstanding achievements in applied economic geology.

Dr. William M. Harvey BA, PhD,

Dr. Harvey will provide the social service programs for the benefit of the stakeholders; the indigenous Tanzanians who are impacted by the corporate activity of Tan Range.
Dr. Harvey is presently a consultant and technical expert to a variety of research centres and state and federal programs in the United States. He is a consultant to: National Drug Information Centre for Families in Action; American Institute of Research; Office of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention; National Institute on Drug Abuse; and National Institute on Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse. He is involved in the formulation of new programs and policies aimed at the betterment of society. The Sinclair family has already made a significant donation to a private trust, The Tanzanian Relief Fund, which in turn has funded the hospital at Bulyanhulu. Dr. Harvey will expand the role which Tan Range has at the local level to ensure that stakeholder interests are addressed.

Ulrich Rath B.Sc.(Hon), M.Sc.(Geol)
Position: Director, Member Audit and Compensation Committee and Technical Committee
Mr. Ulrich Rath is the President and CEO and Director of Chariot Resources Ltd., a junior resource company focused on the exploration, acquisition and development of copper and precious metal mineral deposits in the Andes region of Latin America.
As the former President, CEO and Director of Chimera Gold Corp. Ulrich Rath was responsible for facilitating the $US67 million acquisition of gold operations in the East Rand region of South Africa that now produce more than 200,000 ounces gold per annum. Subsequently, the Board of Chimera agreed to a 1:1 merger with Bema Gold Corp.
Mr. Rath has over 26 years experience in the international mining industry including 13 years working for various companies associated with the Anglo-American Corporation and with its Gold Division in South Africa.
As the former President & CEO of Compania Minera Milpo, he helped transform a 50-year old Peruvian family-held company into a modern multinational mining company.
Prior to Milpo, Mr. Rath was VP Corporate Development at Rio Algom, where he helped transform Rio into an international copper mining company with world-class assets in South America.
Mr. Rath has a B.Sc. (Hon) from Concordia University in Montreal and an M.Sc. (Geology) from the University of Alberta.

Rosalind Morrow is a partner with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Toronto where she practices Corporate and Securities Law. Her practice includes a special emphasis on financial services and communications sector financings and acquisitions, project and government financings and corporate governance. She is also a member of the firm's Securities and Capital Markets Law Group.
She advises issuers, underwriters and investors in connection with debt and equity offerings and investments, including domestic and trans-border public offerings and private placements, capital restructurings and corporate and securities law compliance.
In addition, she also represents government and private sector corporations, investors and lenders (including bank syndicates) in connection with debt offerings, project financings and public-private partnerships.
Ms. Morrow was seconded to the Ontario Securities Commission in 1988-90 as staff counsel in the corporate finance, enforcement and take-over bid branches where she participated in a number of important policy initiatives.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto in 1982 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1984.

Sio wewe uliyekuwa unahimiza tuwe na hisa kwenye makampuni haya?
Mtu yeyote (ANYONE) ikikujumuisha wewe unaweza kuwa na hisa kwenye makampuni haya. Issue isiwe nani ana hisa, kwa na hisa kuwa "issue" ni ujinga au wivu.
Issue iwe, je mkataba huo una manufaa au ulipindishwa ili tupate hasara?
Nakaa nafikiri...naweza kununua hisa za kampuni zote zilizokuwa registered kwenye stock markets. Sasa huu uelewa wangu wa "stock markets trade" ndio iwe dhambi yangu?
M'kijiji tufafanulie zaidi huo mtazamo wako wa kufanya rais kuwa na share kwenye kampuni ni big deal. Wangapi tuna share TBL, Tanga Cement, etc etc na haijawa dhambi. Dhambi inakuja pale unapokuwa rais au Waziri?

ninachojua kuwa kuna madaraka fulani mtu ukiwa nayo kuna restrictions fulani fulani, sijui limits kwa President wa Tz ktk kuwekeza/kuwa na hisa, assume JK alikuwa na hisa hata kabla ya kuwa President na sasa ni President na pia assume si dhambi kuwa na hisa ukiwa president..........suala linakuja mkataba mpya unasainiwa ktk mazingira ambayo ni very questionable.........what does that imply....?? wakati wewe ni President wa country na ni mwenye hisa!!

tatizo siyo RAis kuwa na hisa... tatizo ni pale Rais anapopeleka biashara kwenye kampuni aliyo nahisa nayo.. ndio maana nilisema najua why Barrick Gold. Hivi hamjajiuliza ni kwanini Barrick Gold ndio walikuwa wa kwanza kukubali mabadiliko katika mikataba yao? Mnafikiri ni kwa vile walituonea huruma?
I have a problem with a leader, a minister of President, who will go into partnership with an outside investor, like Barrick, while still in power. A minister or president is first and foremost the first and last line of protecting the interests of the people of Tanzania. Sasa anapotumia wadhifa wake kuingia katika miradi na akina Barrick, etc. itakapobainika kuwa maslahi ya umma yamedhulumiwa ni nani atakayetetea umma?
