If you are being paid something to write on if, please justify the payment by writing something that has been researched and noble. Do not write crap and you expect as to be baloney.
If you look at those countries that are using federal type of governance, kindly note that RSA,Zambia, Kenya, Nigeria, Angola, Germany, Australia, USA, Brazil, Argentina, Canada to mention just afew have seen governance ro be entrenched at the grassroots level to the gubernatorial positions where all through are elective positions where their loyalties are on the people that they represent. Not political apoointments which play in but rather elective and that is what we need.
I wrote but can summarize to you. As a country, Tanzania doesn't need a federal government since that is not the source of her economic and social challenges.
In comparison with vast countries such as Canada and the US, Tanzania is not that big to need federalism as an administrative solution. Unitary government is still the best administrative solution to our country. We just need to embed (if possible) more patritiosim, unity and solidarity to our people.
The grounds on which US, Canada, Nigeria etc decided to embark on federalism are quite different from ours. There was no way u could unite all the 50 states without applying federalism. Spanish, red Indians and all sorts of people with different backgrounds needed to be accommodated.
Canada the same. The country is too big with people speaking different languages and did not want to let go of them. Quebec is frencht speaking area while in Ottawa people are speaking English. They both needed to be accommodated hence, federalism.
Both Canada and the states are occupied by majority christians with no tribalism. The governments are able to provide all necessary services to the people. On the other hand, Tanzania bishop still an striving to achieve excellence in service provision. Her people are dominantly christians and Muslims with pride in their tribes and culture. Employing federalism would lead to descrimination and separation
There are some areas which are not endowed with enough resources, these will be left behind. Besides, the internal and external enemies can use the power of states autonomy to instigate chaos.
For your information, federalism is not an agenda for most Tanzanians even CHADEMA members but rather a dream by it's founder, Mzee Edwin Mtei.
Thanks,
Amani
