Uzuri ni kwamba katika orodha hiyo kulikuwa na jina na sahihi ya yule padri aliyewabatiza, na kwa mkono wake [huyo padri] aliiyaandika hayo majina. Karatasi yenyewe ilihifadhiwa vizuri kwenye fremu ngumu ya kioo. Tuliomba kwa nguvu zote kupatiwa hiyo karatasi ya majina hata kwa kununua lakini haikuwezekana pamoja na kuwaona na kuwaona wakubwa wa kituo hicho. Niliporudi kwa mara ya pili mwezi July 2009 nilipata mstuko.

Karatasi iliyohifadhiwa kwenye fremu ngumu ya kioo, iliyokuwa na majina ya Kiislaam ya mashujaa wa vita vya Maji Maji, haikuwapo,na badala yake imewekwa karatasi nyingine ombayo ndani ya karatasi hiyo majina ya Kiislaam ya mashujaa hao wa vita vya Maji Maji yameondolewa na kuachwa majina ya ubatizo na yale ya kiasili tu, jina la padri, sahihi yake na wadhifa wake katika Kanisa Katoliki pia vimeondolewa na karatasi yenyewe haikuwa kwenye fremu ya kioo na ilikuwa katika fotokopi tu.''

Kwa miaka mingi sana na hadi leo jina la Sultani wa Wangoni Abdulrauf Songea Mbano Jemedari wa Wangoni katika Vita ya Majimaji, jina lake la ‘’Abdulrauf’’ moja ya sifa za Allah ikiwa na maana ‘’Mwenye Huruma,’’ lilikuwa halifahamiki kwa wengi na wanahistoria kwa sababu zao hawakutaka kulisema lijulikane kama vile wengi hawajui kuwa Sultani Mkwawa jina lake ni ''Abdallah.''

Mimi sikukatalii kuwa wanaweza wakawa na majina hayo...lakini hoja yangu mimi ni kwamba mfano mkwawa jina lake halisi ni mwkavinyika...hilo ndilo anatambulika na watu wake na ni jina la heshima kwake, yawezekana kweli alijua kuandika kiarabu na akawa muislamu lakini bado haikubadilisha lolote juu ya kujulikana kwake kama Mkwavinyika...hata hao walioandika hayo majina ya asili ndo walikuwa sahihi kuliko uavyotaka wewe....leo hii unataka mkwawa ajulikane kama sijui Abdala, abdala ni nani katika uhehe? Zunguka uhehe yote mfano uliza nani alikuwa Mtwa wenu watakuambia ni Mkwawa hivyo ndivyo alijulikana...Pia mtwa mkwawa hakuwa chief ama Sultan kama ulivyosema....mkwawa tafsiri halisi ya cheo chake ni mfalme....ndio alikuwa ni Mfalme wa wahehe
Ndio destur ya warabu, mwarabu akija anakupa jina lake na kutengeneza mgogoro wa kidini ili agombee maiti ukifa. Tumeona watu wengi walioajiriwa kwa warabu enzi za ukoloni au hadi sasa....ukiishi na mwarabu hawezi kukuita mfano Raymond...anakupa jina la kiarabu kwa dini yake ya kiislam akiamin kwamba wewe ni mali yake na yeye ndiye "bwana wako".

Hao wazee waliitwa majina kwa misingi ya "ubwana" ndio maana hayo majina wanayajua waarabu wenyewe tu vibaraka wao na si jamii.

Mimi ninandugu yangu anaishi Mbutu kwa mpemba flan sasa hao wapemba wanamwita Sherif badala ya jina lake la Shadrack. Yeye anasema ilianza kama masikhara
 
Mengi yamejificha hayajulikani, hadi hii leo watu hawajui kama lile fuvu si la Mkwawa. Watafiti wenyewe waliweka shaka, ila walificha tu kwani aibu kwao kueleza wamezidiwa ujanja na mtu mweusi. Lile fuvu wajerumani walikata kichwa kwa kumkuta mtu aliyeangukia kwenye moto baada ya wao kusikia mlio wa risasi, sura haikujulikana maana iliharibika na moto.

Mkwawa alikuwa ni kichwa haswa kimbinu na kila namna, haitosahaulika alivyochukua bunduki ya mjerumani akaifumua na kuunda vifaa vinavyofanana kisha akafunga na kupata bunduki nyingine.

Yule aliyechukuliwa fuvu lake ni mlinzi wake na ndiye aliyekuwa naye mahali ambapo kulisikika mlio wa bunduki kwa mujibu wa kitabu kimoja, aliwachezea akili wajerumani. Eneo hilo hakuwa peke yake walikuwa watatu unaweza kuamini walinzi waliruhusu ajiue, au mlinzi mmoja alitoroka na kumwacha ajiue?
Eneo hilo miili ilikutwa miwili mmoja ndo uso uliangukia kwenye moto, mwingine ulijulikana wazi ni wa mlinzi mmojawapo naye hakuuawa na wajerumani sasa nani kamuua huyo mlinzi mwingine?

Sultan Songea bin Ruuf writes: To the Shaykh and Sultan Mataka bin Hamis Massaninga. Greetings, etc. I am sending you a letter through Kazembe. We have received an order from God that the Europeans must leave the country. We are in the process of fighting them here. I believe that we have long since been reconciled,[so] send me your children, so that we may make an alliance. I had wanted to send you some cattle as a gift, but am not able to

do so, as the war which God desired is continuing. Send me a hundred riflemen, and support me in storming the Boma (Songea).

I am also sending you a flask of the Prophet Muhammad, which contains the means for conquering the Europeans. Have no doubt about it, it possessed great power. And when we have taken the Boma (Songea), we shall go on the stations on the Nyasa together, you and I. Now, let us forget our old quarrels.

This bottle, with a da’wa, has been sent by Chinyalanyala himself, the war leader. He also sends the container (kombe), and sends you many greetings.

If your men will come, then Chinyalanyala himself will come and will give you many of the holy things.

Sultan Songea bin Ruuf anasema: Kwa Sheikh Sultan Mataka bin Hamin Massaninga. Asalaam Aleikum, Ninakuletea barua kupitia Kazembe. Tumepata amri kutoka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu kuwa Wazungu lazima waondoke nchini. Tupo katika kupigananao hapa. Naamini tumeshapatana muda mrefu, (kwa hiyo) niletee wanao, ili tufanye ushirikiano. Nilitaka kukuletea mifugo kama zawadi, lakini sipo katika hali ya kuweza kufanya hivyo, kwa kuwa vita ambavyo Mwenyezi Mungu amevitaka vinaendelea. Niletee watumiaji bunduki mia moja, na niunge mkono katika kulivamia Boma (Songea).

Ninakuletea chupa ya Mtume Muhammad, ambayo ndani yake ipo nguvu ya kuwashinda Wazungu. Usiwe na shaka nayo, ina uwezo mkubwa. Tutakapoliteka Boma (Songea), tutakwenda kwenye vituo katika Nyasa pamoja, mimi na wewe. Hivi sasa tusahau ugomvi wetu wa zamani.

Chupa hii, na daíwa, imeletwa na Chinyalanyala mwenyewe, kiongozi wa vita. Ameleta vilevile kombe, na anakupa salamu nyingi.

Endapo watu wako watakuja, Chinyalanyala mwenyewe atafika na atakupa vitu vingi vilivyo vitukufu.

Leo kaburi la chief wetu tulipe jina la abdalah au Christopher kweli ni sahihi, Huo ni Ujinga tu mimi najuta sana kuwa na haya majina ya Kislamu au kikiristo sitaki kabisa mwanangu nimpe majina hayo.
