Kama umeshasikia neno 'kuvaa mkenge' ndio kile ambacho kimewatokea Kenya. Walitakiwa wafikiri sana kabla ya kuvaana na Somalia. Possibly wangebadlisha baadi ya sheria zao za uhamiaje na mengineyo.
Wasomali wako wengi wengi sana Kenya na ndio ambao kwa makadirio wanashikilia uchumi wa Kenya kwahiyo influence yao ndani ya Kenya ni kubwa na inaweza kuidrug Kenya ktk vita ya muda mrefu na ikaathiri hata kukua kwa uchumi wa wao kwa miaka kadhaa.
Ni vizuri Kenya wakafikiria msimamo wao upya kama wanatumiwa. Ilikua ni kosa kubwa sana Kenya kuwaachia wasomali kua wengi possibly Tanzania inaweza ikaingia ktk same situation kama hawatakua makini.

Kenyan officials said Monday that one person has been killed and at least eight others wounded in a second suspected grenade attack in downtown Nairobi in 24 hours. The attacks follow recent threats against Kenya from the Somali militant group al-Shabab, but police have not yet named any suspects in the attacks.
The attack Monday night was near a crowded bus terminal in downtown Nairobi. The area is full of small businesses and often is packed with people traveling in and out of the Kenyan capital.
A witness described the attack through a translator. "He says he was standing here and then a small vehicle passed by, and then there was a loud bang. He thought it was a tire burst but, unfortunately, it was a bomb, a hand grenade," he said.
Another witness said it appeared that the attacker tried to lob a grenade into a bus window but missed, and the explosion struck those standing on the street nearby.
The bus terminal is not far from the scene of another attack on Sunday night that injured 13 people at a working class bar. No suspects have been identified.
The al-Qaida-linked militant group al-Shabab has threatened to strike Nairobi as Kenyan troops push into Somalia in pursuit of the group's fighters, who have been blamed for recent cross-border kidnappings.
Nairobi Provincial Commissioner Njoroge Ndirangu, on the scene of Monday's attack, said it is too soon to attribute the violence to al-Shabab. "You have heard there have been various and several threats from all areas. For now, we are saying it's criminal. It doesn't matter which group. But exploding a device on innocent people is a crime and that crime will be dealt with when we establish who was behind it," he said.
Kenyan police have urged the public to remain vigilante and to report suspicious activity.
The U.S. embassy in Nairobi had issued an alert on Saturday, warning of "an imminent threat of terrorist attacks" aimed at Kenyan targets, including nightclubs and places where foreigners gather.

Somalia: Heavy fighting erupts between troops and militants

MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) – Heavy fighting broke out in Somalia's capital on Monday after pro-government forces attacked militant positions following what the African Union force said were the deaths of at least 12 Somali civilians because of militants' mortars.
African Union peacekeeping forces run to take up positions during clashes with Islamist militants in Mogadishu.
Residents in Mogadishu's northern neighborhoods fled explosions and gunfire as African Union and Somali troops made a push toward positions held by al-Shabab militants.
Al-Shabab fled Mogadishu in August in what its leaders said was a tactical pullout. But the militant group returned in a big way last week, setting off a truck bomb that killed more than 100 people as students tried to learn if they had won a scholarship to attend school in Turkey.
The African Union force on Monday said the latest military battle was launched to push militants back from a range where their mortars can hit civilians. Spokesman Lt. Col. Paddy Ankunda said 12 civilians were killed Sunday from such attacks.
The force commander, Maj. Gen. Fred Mugisha, said that a "small number" of al-Shabab militants remain a threat in northern Mogadishu.
Al-Shabab "will be judged harshly for the lives they take and the atrocities they commit. We need the support of all peace-loving Somalis to help us restore peace and stability to the city," Mugisha said.
Ali Haji, a Mogadishu resident, said he saw Somali soldiers stationed near the fighting. He said residents were fleeing. Thousands of Somalis on Sunday poured into the city's sports stadium to protest last Tuesday's vicious truck bombing by the al-Qaida-linked al-Shabab. The Somali president, Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed, spoke at the rally, calling al-Shabab "religious thugs."
"We have to retaliate against them for burning our people to death. Somalis fought colonialists before and al-Shabab is a new colonialist," the president said to loud applause.
Under tight security, the protesters waved Somalia's blue flag as the national anthem pulsated through the stadium. Al-Shabab, mimicking the Taliban regime of Afghanistan in the 1990s, has forbidden music in areas under its control.
"They are not Muslims. They are misinterpreting the religion and have made our blood their business!" said Zaynab Ali, a protester. "They don't even spare students. We need no more patience, but to kill and fight them. Down with al-Shabab!"
Last week's attack was not the first time the insurgents targeted students seeking an education that could better the country. In December 2009 a suicide bomber attacked a graduation ceremony for medical students in Mogadishu. The area struck by Tuesday's truck bomb was near several government ministries, including the Ministry of Education.
"They killed our students to prevent them from being educated and serving their country," said Mohamed Ahmed Nor, Mogadishu's mayor. "We are not deterred by their terror acts, and our young men will continue to learn and still go abroad to learn."
The attacks and battles with al-Shabab come as the Horn of Africa nation continues to suffer through its worst drought in 60 years. Tens of thousands of Somalis have already perished. The U.N. says more than 750,000 are at risk of starvation in the next several months.

Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed came under fire on Tuesday for casting doubt on the government's support for a Kenyan incursion into the south of the Horn of Africa nation to take on Islamist rebels.
Ahmed said on Monday the Somali government was not happy with the deployment of Kenyan soldiers across the border because the incursion went beyond an initial agreement for logistical support for Somali soldiers.
Kenya sent thousands of troops and heavy weapons into Somalia 10 days ago in a campaign to push Somalia's al Qaeda-linked al Shabaab rebels away from the border, following a series of kidnappings by Somali gunmen on Kenyan soil.
Kenyan soldiers have advanced on several fronts along with Somali troops and allied militias but there has yet to be a serious showdown with al Shabaab. The first major confrontation is expected to be in the strategic transit town of Afmadow.
In the Somali town of Dhobley near the border with Kenya, hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets on Tuesday waving Kenyan and Somali flags and burning pictures of the president.
"We want Kenya and Somalia to fight al Shabaab in every corner. We do not have any other hope for life," Gedi Farah, an elder from the Dhobley area, told Reuters by phone.
"Kenya, do not believe the words of our weak, mad president. Please fight al Shabaab and go deep into Somalia. We want to return to our homes," he said.
Somali military officials and a spokesman for the pro-government Ras Kamboni militia urged the demonstrators to calm down, saying the president's remarks were not in line with the Somali government's position.
"The Somali government does not support al Shabaab. It is only the president and that will be solved," said Colonel Yasin Warfa, a government military official.

I don't concur with the assertions that the Kenyan army acted impetuously in their decision to attack El-Shabaab thugs deep inside their "Safe heaven" as they had no option apart from the one they opted.
The Army and the government of Kenya anticipated beforehand such possibility of sporadic terrorist attacks from the group and were well prepared for them. One of the principles of war is to attack the enemy in depth and Kenya has just done that. As a a person with a background in military tactics I fully support the gallantry and brave action by the progressive Kenyan forces and I predict victory to them.
To say that the Kenyan Army has no or very little experience when it comes to inter state battles amounts to sheer absurdity for two reasons; one is that the Kenyan Army is not fighting any state in Somalia but a group of organized bandits and the state of Somalia that is also fighting them, and secondly Kenya as the national army has an upper hand against those thugs as they have only one front to fight, that is Al - Shabaab against their enemies who have several fronts to combat. The Al -Sahaab have the AU Army in one front, the Somalian Army in another and the determined and dedicated Kenyan Army in the Kenyan front.
My advice to Kenya authorities is that they must clamp groups that utter or show sympathy to these criminals as their country is now in the state of war. Their National assembly will do their country better if they will pass laws to discourage people and groups that overtly or covertly support their country's enemy - The El Shabaab thugs.
