That means we produce enough for local consumption and export. Tanzanian avocados are not sold in Kenyan supermarkets and will not be found in big hotels, because they are low quality.
We are africa's largest producer of avocados and we export about 60% of the harvest (Our avocados are a high quality cultivar). The other 40% is sold locally to supermarkets , hotels and restaurants.
Tanzanian avocado imported into kenya is sold in the common markets and they are cheaper by almost 50% to a Kenyan avocado.
We export more because the avocado market in the world is growing in china, europe and america.

Yes in plenty! But if you do not have money wait for GOK or starve. The farmer did not get input for free or labor costs. Why are you not putting kibera?

Kenya is one of Africa's biggest exporters and producers..
Note the difference...
We Are big producers and exporters...
Tanzania is not among the top producers... if it were so , then it would be a big exporter to Kenya...
Tanzania ingekuwa kwenye hii list as an exporter to Kenya..
Mind you, Kenya only exports around 10% to 20% of avocados produced..
You want to tell me we buy avocados in TZ to export and leave ours to rot here
