US gets a lot of oil in Saudi. The Saudi are not their puppets but rather allies.
Also, the reserves in this disputed area are not even proven. The most likely scenario is that they will be too little to justify construction of expensive off shore rigs.

What do you know about the original Kenyan map by the British?... actually the entire jubaland state belonged to British East Africa protectorate but was later given to the Italians after an agreement. That means the original Kenyan borders are even larger than we thought.
