Kuuliza Multiple Choice Question katika University Exams: Tunapima nini?

Kwanza kaa ukijua mtihani upo kwa ajili ya kupima vitu vingi sana so kila swali lina pima kitu fulani haiwezekani kuwe na aina 1 ya kupima uelewa iwe mwaka wa 3 au 4.
 
Kijana acha kabisa.matiple choice za chuo zinakuhitaji uwe umesoma kitu kwa umakini kuliko essay unaweza tetea point,mfano sisi huku kuna ticha anakupa masharti ya ajabu.na kwenye sehemu mnayo kaa kila mmoja anapewa paper tofauti kidogo.unweza pata 1kati ya kumi na tano maana kila ukitafuta jibu unaona yote yanafanana.nadhani nikikupa paper za ud miaka ya nyuma matiple choice utashuhudia nnayokwambia.pia zinapunguza kutumia mda mwingi kusahiisha,alafu ni kwaajili ya test tu siyo ue

Basi hata hizo essay zingekuwa zinaangalia uwezo wa kufikri wa mwanafunzi, lakini sasa hivi lecturers wanataka ushushe kama ilivyo kwenye handout. Ni bora hata hizo MCQs mara mia!! Shame on them!!!

Watu wana mtazamo finyu sana kuhusu mitihani.

Wanadhani mitihani tu ndiyo kila kitu wakati sivyo kabisa.

Chuoni huwa kuna term papers, research papers, research presentations, class participation na kadhalika.

Hayo yote pia hupima uwezo wa mtu wa kusoma, kuelewa, kuchanganua, na kufikiri.

Kwa mfano, kwenye presentations (kama UDSM wanafanya hivyo), baada ya ku-present, mtu anaweza akapokea maswali kutoka kwa wanafunzi wenzake, walimu, na hata wageni (waalikwa kama wapo). Na mara nyingi huwa ni maswali ya papo kwa hapo. Sasa kama mtu umekariri tu unaweza kuaibika kabisa.

Uwezo wa mwanafunzi ni vizuri kupimwa kwa njia tofauti tofauti na si maswali tu ya mtihani.
 
Usinikumbushe Machungu, kifupi hii system ya MCQ ni nzuri, lakini kibongobongo inatutesa sana, si tumeshazoea essay, hizo system za MCQ ni za Cambridge huko,
Nimefanya mtihani wa aina hiyo UDSM Under Dr. Bluce Hailman, nilipata 0.5/10

MCQ ni nzuri ila swali liwe na a,b,c,d na e ,maswali yasipungue 20 na kila swali liwe na alama 0.5 mpaka 1.

Huwezi gues kitu usichokijua kamwe.

Pia multiple choice question huwa zina maksi kumi na si ishirini kama unavyodai. Kila kipengele kimoja kina 0.5 marks.

Hayo maswali yanaitwa objective questions na yanapima uwezo wa mwanafunzi katika kuelwa,na kutumia muda kwa usahihi. Pia maswali hayo ni magumu kuliko hata aiana nyingine ya maswli hapa UDSM.

Pia si kwamba mtihani mzima huwa una aina hii hii ya maswali huwa kuna aina zingine za maswali kama matching Iterms, na essay questios and true and false.

Ili uweze kufaulu mtihani wenye mcq ni lazma usome between lines la sivyo mitihani ya mtindo huu ni migumu sana hasa pale inapotungwa na mwalimu makini

Hapo kwenye red ndipo penye utata, hasa kwa Tanzania.

The reliability is enhanced when the number of MC items focused on a single learning objective is increased. In addition, the objective scoring associated with multiple choice test items frees them from problems with scorer inconsistency that can plague scoring of essay questions.
Validity: Validity is the degree to which a test measures the learning outcomes it purports to measure. Because students can typically answer a multiple choice item much more quickly than an essay question, tests based on multiple choice items can typically focus on a relatively broad representation of course material, thus increasing the validity of the assessment.
The key to taking advantage of these strengths, however, is construction of good multiple choice items.
A multiple choice item consists of a problem, known as the stem, and a list of suggested solutions, known as alternatives. The alternatives consist of one correct or best alternative, which is the answer, and incorrect or inferior alternatives, known as distractors.​


nikusaidie kwa ufupi, mara nyingi hutumiwa kupima uelewa mpana wa maeneo mbalimbali ya course, ikitungwa vizuri ni aina bora ya maswali, essay qns mara nyingi hujiwekeza kwenye sehemu chache. soma vizuri then utaelewa mdogo wangu.
 
MCQ zinalenga kupima eneo moja la ufahamu wa mwanafunzi kati ya cognitive...psychomotor na ....malizia wewe unapenda kutafuniwa...

mkuu sijakupata hapa,mi najua MCQ inapima lower level ya cognitive domain ambazo ni knowledge na comprehension kidogo! Hebu ongea zaidi tuone...
