Only an insane person would build a big exravagant station at pungu...The only extravangant stations are are at daressalam, Morogoro and Makutupora(Dodoma)..
Kenyan extravangaant sgr stations are driven by corruption.

I dont think Tz expected huge wasteful Sgr stations from Yapi Markez..what they expect is an efficient electrified railway that serves the purpose,reduces cost of transportation of both cargo and passangers

Correct, Soga and Pugu stations are in the middle of the wilderness. Wilderness of cheapness. Meanwhile, all the SGR train stations in Kenya are in strategic towns improving infrastructure in those places, with no need to waste resources pulling down stations to build new ones to fit bulging populations and new developments after five years or so.

Ofcourse, songa and pungu are not even 10% of Voi or Mtito a ndei..But The station at Dar, Morogoro and matukupora are comparable with Nairobi, Mombasa and Naivasha.. Its all about using money wisely

Those shanties next to 'Pugu station' represent 90% of all Tanzanian houses.
Tanzanians keeps reminding us about Kibera, but they ignore the fact that Kibera takes up like 1% of Nairobi area.

Meanwhile nearly every house in Dar and Tanzania in general looks like that.

Kitu kizuri kimekuwa ni ufisadi eeh? Hivi unajua safari ya treni ya SGR kuelekea Mombasani tayari imeanza kutajwa kwenye tuzo za kiutalii duniani? Unajua kuna sampuli ya utalii ambayo mtindo wake ni ku'enjoy' mandhari ya safari za treni? Hapo treni ikitoka inaingia moja kwa moja hadi ndani ya mbuga la wanyama la Tsavo. Watu wanaona mbali bana, wewe endelea tu kulia lia.

Germany has money to build fancy stations like the one in Kenya to replace them but instead they have been choosing to update the rail everyday!
