That's a painly brutal truth to most Kunyans in here to hear they r having another tembo mweupe in the making! For context, the Isiolo to Moyale section is in the middle. We are nearing the completion of that section and the Lamu to Isiolo section is well underway. Very Impressive!

Wafanyibiashara ndio wanaoimport magari mapya kutoka Japan sio GoT. Wafanyibiashara ndio wanaoimport nguo kutoka Dubai na Laptop kutoka China na tractors za kulima kutoka USA. GoT na GoK zinaimport vitu vichache pengine asilimia kumi hivi ya total imports. Kwa hivyo hakuna jinsi serikali itaagiza private businessman ni port gani atatumia kuimport cargo. Isitoshe, mwenye kulipa hii gharama ya kutumia Lamu port ni kampuni inayomiliki meli. Kwa mfano kampuni kama Maersk inamiliki meli kadhaa na badala ya kutumia meli tatu (Moja kuja mombasa, moja Dar na nyingine Durban) wanaweza kutumia jimeli jitu postpanamax moja kumwaga cargo zote Lamu kisha kutumia meli ndogo kumaliza last mile. Itakuwa cheap sana kwao kufanya hivi badala ya kuzunguka kila corner. Wako radhi kulipa pesa kidogo hapo Lamu port yaani handling and storage fees badala ya stress nyingi. Ni affordable kwa hivyo it makes alot of business sense to use Lamu port.
