Ipande wapi? presha ipo ipo tu; but its really a boring weekend nothing exciting about footy this weekend

What i meant in my preious post is that, winning against Manutd cant be useless if you will draw/loose against team the likes of Stoke on the absence of your fantastic duo.

BTW; Its true it has been a very looooooong weekend without league matches.

Boring weekend without some club footy... And worse that some players will return injured

OH SH!T.... HOPE WE ONLY GET THESE TWO INJURIES

Liverpool are continuing to monitor the fitness of Yossi Benayoun and Sami Hyypia after both players picked up knocks on international duty over the weekend.
Benayoun was carried off with a calf problem during Israel's 1-1 draw with Greece while Hyypia injured his knee helping Finland to a 2-0 victory in Wales.

Benayoun has remained with his Israeli teammates ahead of their World Cup qualifier on Wednesday night, but Hyypia has returned to Melwood for treatment ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash at Fulham.

"Yossi has a problem with cramps in his calf and he is in contact with our doctor and physios," manager Rafael Benitez said today.

"We will see how he is for the next game but he has to be careful. He will stay with Israel for their next match.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has agreed a two-year contract extension that will see him remain at Anfield until 2013.
The 28-year-old is yet to sign the new agreement, but is expected to sign in the next few days.

The news will be a further boost for Liverpool fans after manager Rafael Benitez signed a new five-year deal last month.

"This is fantastic news for the club," Benitez told the club's website.

"Steven has once again shown his commitment and it was an easy deal to agree. As soon as we offered him the option he said yes.

"There were no problems at all. He wants to stay for life.

"This deal sends out another clear message that we are moving forward as a club. To know we have a player of Steven's quality with us for many more years is a great boost for the club and the fans.
"He is clearly a player who inspires those around him and even though he is playing very well at the moment, I still think his best years are ahead of him."

Gerrard has been instrumental in recent weeks in Liverpool's bid to end their 19-year wait for a league title and is the club's top scorer this season with 22 goals in all competitions.
They have moved to within a point of Manchester United after an impressive 4-1 victory at Old Trafford last month, which was followed by an equally emphatic win as Gerrard scored a hat-trick in the 5-0 thrashing of Aston Villa at Anfield.

Victory away at Fulham on Saturday would see them move to the top of the Premier League, albeit possibly only for 24 hours as Manchester United host Villa on Sunday. Since signing his new deal, Benitez has been quick to tie down other members of his backroom team.

Assistant boss Sammy Lee and first team coach Mauricio Pellegrino agreed extensions of at least two years, while goalkeeping coach Xavi Valero, fitness coach Paco de Miguel and chief scout Eduardo Macia have also re-signed.

For those worring the injuries picked up by some of our players this should cheer you up!!

yossi's position can easily be covered by lucas/kuyt/mascherano/alonso/babel and so on!!it all depends on which formation we'll be using on saturday!!worry not we are on a winning streak and it will take a miracle for fulham to stop us!!!!if you haven't noticed goals are coming from all directions even the unexpected players!!

Dirk commits to Reds
Liverpool attacker Dirk Kuyt has become the latest to commit his future to Liverpool Football Club, signing a two year extension to his current deal at Anfield.

The news comes just hours after it was announced the skipper Steven Gerrard has extended his stay at the club until at least 2013.
Kuyt's new deal means the 28-year-old Dutch international is a Liverpool player until the summer of 2012.
"This is another great piece of news for the club," said Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez.

"Dirk had one year left on his contract and we were keen for him to stay. He is a player with great quality who has a big part to play in our future."

Kuyt enjoyed a good week of football for his country, scoring three times in two World Cup Qualifiers for the Netherlands.

He was signed in the summer of 2006 from Feyanoord for around £10million, and scored for the Reds in the 2007 European Cup final against AC Milan in Athens.

Benitez will now turn his attentions to securing extensions for other important players who have shorter time left on their current deals. Namely Fabio Aurelio, Alvaro Arbeloa and Daniel Agger, along with securing Jamie Carragher, Xabi Alonso and Fernando Torres on improved deals.

Fulham vs Liverpool
4 April; 5.30pm | Craven Cottage | Premier League

After what seems like one of the longest international breaks in memory, no doubt due to the fact we were absolutely flying before the break, Liverpool return to Premier League action at Craven Cottage on Saturday evening (5:30pm kick off).

Before the break the Reds had seen off Man United and Aston Villa in succession, scoring 9 goals in the process.
Fulham, meanwhile, had just defeated the current champions, 2-0 at the Cottage, and Rafa Benitez’s side will be aiming not to fall where Ferguson’s men did.

Those results have thrown the title race back open, and with United not playing until Sunday - at home to Villa - Liverpool have the opportunity to go top of the table, albeit possibly only for a short period.
Rafa Benitez has no major injury worries, thankfully, after international duty was kind for the first time this season. The only doubts surround squad players Sami Hyypia and Yossi Benayoun. Although, the fact midfielder Javier Mascherano’s Argentina played at the high altitude in Bolivia on Wednesday night and the time difference for him arriving back may mean he won’t be risked. However, the fact he is suspended for the first leg of the Chelsea quarter final on Wednesday means he may be used and rest after.

This fixture last season saw Liverpool 2-0 victors courtesy of goals from two players no longer at the club; Peter Crouch and Jermaine Pennant.
Earlier this season, Roy Hodgson’s side frustrated the Anfield faithful when they secured a goalless draw. Having beat United last time out, the London club will be looking to add another twist in the title race.

The match is live on Setanta, 5:30pm kick off.

To All Loyal Fans Of Liverpool!!
This is a Reminder that on the 15th of this month will be the 20th aniversery of the Hillsborough Disaster..It will be another time of the year when our hearts will be filled with pain and sorrow when we remember the disaster that took the lives of 96 liverpool scousters!!This article is a reminder for Those directly/indirectly touched by the disaster that;

''YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE''

In memory of the 96 who died, April 15th 1989. May they rest in peace and never be forgotten

What happened??

FA Cup quarter-final day and Liverpool, under Kenny Dalglish, put four past Brenford without reply to go through to their seventeenth FA Cup semi-final - a tie against the strong opposition of Nottingham Forest at Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough stadium. Little did they know that the semi-final would turn out to be football’s most tragic day ever.

Liverpool were going strong in the league, very close to catching up with top of the table Arsenal. Impressive victories over Wednesday and Milwall eventually saw Liverpool back where they belonged - at the top of the table.

Cup semi-final day loomed as Pool would battle with Forest for the right to play Everton in the final of the cup. The script was written for LFC to win and go through to meet their local rivals in the final.

April 15th 1989 - football’s lowest day as ninety six Liverpool supporters lost their lives in front of the watching (in shock) world. The match started as normal, it would seem to a viewer in another stand or watching television but in the Leppings Lane end of the stadium there was confusion. As thousands of supporters were crammed into terraced stand. Six minutes into the game, the referee blew a holt on proceedings and what has been the scene for a picture-book football match turned into a scene of mass chaos as policemen and first aid men rushed onto the pitch treating the bodies of the wounded and, sadly, the carrying the bodies of the dead.
Expressions of shock lay on the face of the survivors at Hillsborough that day along with the millions in disbeleif watching around the world - some, the families of the disaster’s victims. The death count went up as the evening progressed and supporters arrived back on Merseyside to scenes of greif and sadness. By Wednesday the death count was up to ninety-five with a ninety-sixth through further reasons to follow. The country was in a state of shock.

Just days later, Anfield was covered in flowers, scarves and banners with people of all football teams and positions in authority paying their respect. Prince Charles was amongst the first to lay flowers on Anfield’s Kop.
Investigations into the disaster followed with many fans showing that their ticket for the semi-final hadn’t even been checked - still in it’s full tact. It was obvious that someone had opened too many gates at the Leppings Lane end, letting fans stream into an already full to capacity area surrounded by fencing meaning an overflow of fans were inside the enclosed area

In Memory Of our Fallen Scousters!!
YOU'll NEVER WALK ALONE!!
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on,
with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
