This is football. It's not always easy to predict with absolute certainty what will happen.
What Slot has done so far is nothing short of incredible and just because Liverpool are in transition, it doesn't mean it has to be a tough transition like it has been for other teams (Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, etc.). There's nothing wrong with a team getting a new manager and hitting the ground running. Yes, it's surprising and unexpected, but it's what fans hope for.
- Klopp has been with Liverpool for over eight years and he built incredible teams during that time. He left Liverpool at a much stronger position than he found it, a title challenger. The same cannot be said about Wenger's/Arteta's Arsenal.
-On the media assuming Liverpool will fall off; well, it's a much easier assumption to make that the opposite, given the circumstances (Slot has just come in from 'a weaker league', Arsenal and City seemingly getting stronger season after season, the rise of perpetual 'mid-tablers' like Aston Villa and Newcastle, etc). It's quite understandable that most expected you guys to struggle.
All in all, Slot and Liverpool have performed way better than expected, and the whole narrative is much sweeter for it. Just imagine how incredible it would be if he goes on to win the Premier League and/or the UCL or more...for Liverpool fans especially, but for football in general as well.
