Fabio Borini returned after his loan at Sunderland, but only Lucas Leiva and Joe Allen were regular first-team players in the starting XI.

Iago Aspas opened the scoring early on after good work by teenage duo Brad Smith and Jordon Ibe down the left hand side, the Spanish striker finishing from close range.
Borini made it 2-0 two minutes after half-time, Ibe again with the assist to play in the Italian who side footed past the goalkeeper across goal for a nice finish.
Martin Kelly made it 3-0 on 74 minutes, volleying in from close range after Aspas’ shot from the edge of the box was deflected into his path.
Kelly, who has struggled for fitness and hasn’t started a Premier League match since September 2012, played the match as centre back alongside Spaniard Rafael Paez.

There were late appearances for several youngsters to get their first taste of “first team” action at the club; defender Jordan Williams, and attackers Kris Peterson and Jack Dunn.

It was Dunn, the top scorer for the under 21s this season, who made it 4-0 on 83 minutes with a superb finish from a through ball from right-back Connor Randall – Randall having replaced Ryan McLaughlin in the second half.

Half-time saw Joao Carlos Teixeira and Cameron Brannagan, two impressive performers from the under 21s this season who have impressed Rodgers, replace Lucas and Allen.

Before the game Rodgers explained how he told the young players in the squad that this was their opportunity to make sure it was their names he was thinking of as he heads off on holiday. Some of them certainly did that.

Deal ya Lallana naona imekuwa kimya sana..

Nafikiri tunahitaji kuongeza wachezaji ambao wakuingia moja kwa moja katika first 11 katika team ili kuleta competition ya namba, Squad players nao pia wanahitajika kidogo ili kuongeza depth ya kikosi..lakini tunahitaji ambao ni advanced tayar ambao wanaweza wakatoka Sub na kuleta mabadiliko kwenye mechi!!!

But, hizi reports ninazosisoma kila siku za wachezaji anaowataka BR zinaniogopesha sana, Sahiv naona imeibuka ishu ya dogo wa Levarkusen Emre Can, Asa sjajua BR anamtaka wa kazi gani, kuja kumback Up SG pale kwenye DM au vipi?..i thought tunahitaji more exprienced DM wa kumBack SG coz sidhan kama SG next season atakuwa na uwezo wa kucheza game 3 kwa week..huyo dogo Emre Can ana miaka 20 tu, na whats worse Bayern Munich naskia wana buy back clause ya huyo dogo, coz ndiyo waliomuuza kule Levarkusen kwa £5 which makes the deal kuwa more complicated..!

Ni mzuri kiasi chake, lakin hawez kumfanya Lucas asiwe comfortable katika competition ya Number baada ya SG.

Hope, Tutacomplete deals za maana this summer, wahts interesting ni kwamba this time most of the players wanavutika kuja wenyewe kuja kwny club..

A lot of shouts to Jesus Hernandez (SUSO) and Joao Texeira, I realy rate em' too, #SuperTalents , i dont think Texeira will be loaned next season, SUSO is defo' coming Back!!!!!

Nadhani, Suso, Wisdom and Borini, watakuwepo next season..Naona dalili zote za Luis Alberto kuwa loaned, But the kid is something else too, lakin he needs to play every weekend too ili kuimprove soccer lake, But he's a Massive talent, Barcelona B used to call him "New Iniesta"..pia Iago Aspas will defo' go this summer ( hope itakuwa loan), Madogo wa Academy kama Paez, Branaghan, Dunn, Rossiter na Coady naombea nao wapelekwe sehem mbali mbali kwa mkopo ili kupata exprience zaid...Jack Robnson & sana sana Brad smith should be available..just backUps for LB and RB..

Ndo maana nasema Jack Dunn aende sehem kwa mkopo..Bado ana umri mdogo sana kuingia moja kwa moja kwenye First eleven ya team..only 17!!!..
