And let the parents in question learn how to scold their children! The Tz govt should think thru this decision mazee. My heart is really crying out for those children and parents, the poor parents who cannot afford the private schools who have found themselves in this situation.
Jailing a schoolboy, an underage for 30yrs, just for impregnating a schoolgirl in what was a consensual hunky punky seems very punitive to me, I wonder if it is even consistent with the current Tanzanian laws, and definately it is not in tandem with the international laws protecting children.
They ought to be given a second chance at education. Many have talents and potential to add value to the Tanzanian society. How will the young lady raise her child without a good education to afford her a good job, and her child's father languishing in jail for 30odd years. Condemning this young lady and her baby to a life of penury; it is very unjust, inhumane.
And what if tge girl concieved her baby thru rape? It is so unfair.
I was I could tell Magu right on his face how stupid and unnecessary this law is.
Tunakabiliwa na tatizo kubwa sana la wanafunzi kupata ujauzito kizembe kizembe tu! Hii itawanyoosha sana! No mercy at all!
Subiri baada ya mwaka mmoja utaona idadi ya watoto wanaopata ujauzito inapungua tu yenyewe!
Kwa hili naunga mkono kabisaaaaaaaaaaa!
A girl should learn to choose wisely, either being a mother or a student! Lazima mwanafunzi ajue kuwa the moment anafanya unprotected sex, the moment she becomes a mother
