BRT mbona njia ya tegeta, sam nujoma road, mbagala na maeneo mengi hawajengi, that means kuna maeneo mengine hayo mabasi ya kasi ya strabarg/BRT hatatakuwa yanaenda, na hatutegemei waharibu barabara ya ubungo mwenge kama ile ya morogoro kuja kujenga barabara ya mabasi katikati hata gadeni hamna...so i think haya yatasevu kwenye maeneo kama hayo. hata ulaya mabasi mengi tu yana ukubwa kama huu. if you look at it utakuta ni kama dcm mbili au tatu kwa pamoja hilo basi. big up dewji.

While the construction of the Dar Rapid Transit (DART) infrastructure phase 1 is underway, a report to begin architectural designs for Phases 2 and 3 whose distance covers 42km was on May 17, 2011 released by Kyong Dong Engineering Co. Ltd of Korea in association with Ambicon Engineerng Ltd of Tanzania.
The task to be carried out by the two companies is to prepare a detailed design of the two phases from which three components would be covered. The clusters for design include the infrastructure, the network plans and the organizational and institutional management plan.
The inception report indicates that the Phase 2 DART corridor is along Kilwa Road with a total of 19.3km from the city centre to Mbagala area while Phase 3 DART corridor is situated along Nyerere Road with a total of 23.6km from Gongolamboto to Kariakoo area.
Kilwa Road, according to the report, has two lanes in each direction with a
central median enough to accommodate the proposed 2 lanes two way Rapid Transit bus Lanes. On the other hand, Nyerere Road is 2 lane 1 way from the Old Post office to Mnazimmoja and there after it is dual carriageway, 2 lane each direction to Airport area.
In August 2010, the President of Tanzania, His Execellency Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete officiated at the inauguration ceremony of DART project infrastructure development at Kivukoni Front where the construction of a Terminal is continuing. Other Terminals that are already under construction include
Feeder Stations at Shikilango and Mwinyijuma along Morogoro Road and Kawawa Road, respectively
