given H=9m
*find final velocity, V.
V=√2gh =√(2×9.8×9)
V= 13.28m/s.
After bouncing, the above final velocity will act as initial velocity(U)
from newton's third law of motion:
v^2=u^2+2gh , find final velocity v'.
v^2=(13.28 )^2 +2×9.8×9
v'=18.76m/s.
Then; V×H=v'×h ,find h,
h= (13.28×9)÷18.76

h=6.37m (utaenda juu mita 6.37)

Inategemea na coefficient of restitution kati ya mpira na hiyo surface utakapodunda.

Your red statement is only true if the coefficient of restitution between the ball and the surface is 1.0 (almost impossible).

Think of it this way, if the ball hits a swimming pool full of water (coefficient of restitution = 0.0) the ball will never bounce back.

Qn. Why electrical wires which transport electricity is not covered but those wires which supply current are covered?

First of all there is no distinction between electricity and current. Electric Power = Current * Voltage.

The long distance power lines operate at very high voltages (thousands of volts) but very low currents (to minimize power loss during transmission) and normally use bare aluminum wires. This is mainly because people will not get to the wires so there is no need to cover them with expensive and heavy insulation.

Residential power lines operate at 240V (line voltage) and 400V (phase voltage). These lines normally carry very high currents in order to deliver high power at low voltages. The wires between poles along these residential lines also do not need insulation for the same reason.

However, when electricity is supplied to a house or business these wires need to be insulated for two main reasons:
  1. Prevent arcing between wires because normally they are very close to one another.
  2. Safety for people because they are very close to the ground and people.

Is it possiple to boil water without heating? Explain

Yes it is possible to boil water without heating. You can do this by lowering the pressure of the water container.

From thermodynamics, if the volume is not changing then the ratio P/T (P=pressure, T=temperature) is a constant.

So, as you lower the pressure of the vessel, the temperature also goes down to maintain the constant and it reaches a point where the water boils at a lower (room) temperature than the normal boiling point.
