My view on Kenya elevated express toll roads

Huu mradi umewakata maini Watanzania. Poleni sana ndugu zetu.

Sasa wanaweka picha za majuu wakilinganisha na mradi wetu ndio uonekane mbovu yet hakuna Mkenya aliyesema mradi wetu ni bora kushinda miradi ya Europe na Asia. Mbona wasiweke picha za kwao?

Of late, Tanzanians are making too many videos on YouTube comparing Tanzania to Kenya. I like the way Kenyans respond though, without any bitterness or need to compare. [emoji1787] [emoji1787]

Most of the Videos are made by Kenyans, Tanzanians dont have such time, comparing themselves with the poorer.

You are right, This road does not decongest nairobi, the aim of serious city planners is to reduce the number of personal cars/low pax commuter vans on the road..To make matters worse its an expressway..you cannot alight at the common areas such as the highly populated Bellevue stage.. Absolutely no need for expressway when southern and eastern bypass do the job perfectly.. BRT should solve this

Kwa hapa nimeshawishika na point ya gharama but vipi Kuhusu kuacha space between the pillars kwa ajili ya matumiz mengineyo?

Also not the whole stretch has space in the median to fit 2 lanes that is why we have an elevated viaduct. No space from Nyayo to James gichuru. BRT is more cost effective than Metro train too. How many KMs of Metro will DAr have if you did trains instead of BRT since metro is 10times more expensive?

don't u see that space btn the pillars cold be made at least 7 m wide and allow the buses to pass or say the top was a metrotrain then a pedestrian bridge could have been connected to the metro line on top and avoid interference with the general traffic in the picture? I call this design is a poorly done! that $600 mln can give a metro line if the tender was floated for everyone to vie for!


See a similar project in India is to cost around $1 bln if GoK is to factor interest rates they could have managed to build a state of the art viaduct plus locomotives on that viaduct!

1) Stupid policemen at lusaka rd and uhuruHighway roundabout
2)Matatus dropping off and picking passangers anywhere
3) Fake South B/C middle class with their noisy subarus
who told the Weed smoker that traffic from mombasa rd/ Jkia ends up in westlands so that billions are spent on an expressway?
This is another sgr and will face similar problems. -Lack of Traffic to payoff the lenders
