edward Wanjala and tuusan, nice roads posts. Barabara ndio the most important thing where (public) transportation is concerned. But you'll both agree that Kenya, being a little more than half the size of Tanzania but with a little less than twice the amount of paved roads as of 2015 has a much better transportation network.

Lakini najua hii mwaka tu, both countries have done a lot of tarmacing
 
As a Kenyan living in Tz,I have to say thumbs up to Tz_dians coz of two things. Kuna vituo vingi vya daladala kwa mfano, Makumbusho, K/koo Gerezani, Mawasiliano etc ambavyo ni muundo msingi muhimu katika swala zima la uchukuzi. Kenya vituo kama hivyo havipo ila matatu hu_park barabarani pembeni na wakati mwingine/mara nyingi huchangia msongamano katikati ya jiji. Pili,ni ishu ya nauli. Ninachopendea Tz ni kuwa nauli ipo standardized. Ni ile ile Asubuhi, mchana,usiku alfajiri tofauti na kwetu ambapo inapanda na kushuka kutegemea na jua,mvua, asubuhi au jioni..... Hongereni Tz. Ila sasa,nadhani BRT ingekabidhiwa Wakenya sidhani kama kungekuwa na uzembe ambao mara nyingi mimi hushuhudia pale Gerezani. Yaani basi zimefika,wasafiri kibao,madereva wapo wapo tu,hamna basi kuondoka........ Sijui nisemeje. Swala lingine kuna kusimama kwenye daladala hadi kero. Daladala za Bongo sio comfy isipokuwa Coasters za kwenda Bagamoyo,Posta nk. Ma DCM ya kuvunja migongo yamejaa hadi basi. Hapo tumewazidi Tz. Kenya Bajaj sio nyingi,Dar zimejaa sana. Barabara ya BRT nzuri ila sasa management ndio ishu. Matatu za Kenya nzuri, zina makonda ambao ni wazuri kwenye customer care(sio wote) tofauti na wa Tz.Treni zinafanya kazi,usafiri kwenda estates tofauti tofauti upo. Bodaboda zipo za kumwaga, ila sijui hadi kufikia sasa wamepigwa ban kuingia city centre kama huku. Kama @Anneal utahitaji evidence /reference, sina ni mimi mwenyewe..... Nawasilisha.

Although I may admit the fact tz management system doesn't attract competency, a reason u see many public companies and organisations underperforming, the competent ones doesn't get chance.
But we'll fix things out.
This UDART need a competitor, monopoly is the old school culture, (very Old school).
 
Barabara hizo zenu bado hazijafika viwango vya jiji kuu. Nadhani bado ziko chini sana kusema ukweli. Unajua hapa tumekuwa tukihepa kutia barabara za Nairobi lakini maadamu umezitia wacha nikupe mfana wa barabara za jiji kuu

Kweli nadhani huu mji waweza vutia iwapo miti itapandwa, sehemu nyingi za mombasa zina miti hasa palm na huvutia sana. Green spaces go alone way making a place acceptable.

Angalia ndani ya hili basi, ni basi nzuri najua, lakini angalia walio kaa ndani!!! Duu!! Yaani hivi kukaa miguu ikiwa imetiwa upande wa median ni nini?? Ushamba?
