Ancelotti: "We played with concentration, effort and sacrifice".

Satellite

"The side is playing very well and we must continue to do so in order to keep up this run", he added.

Real Madrid gave another superb display of football and goalscoring in Granada, and Ancelotti was full of praise for his team: "We played with concentration, a lot of effort and sacrifice. If we fight, everything turns out well. We must continue to play like this to keep up ouR run. We are playing well and winning."

"James scored a fantastic goal and Cristiano Ronaldo provided a perfect assist for Karim. It is becoming difficult to find words to describe Cristiano Ronaldo. He is a fantastic player. It is normal that with that scoreline, they will have chances, but we do not have to make it possible for them to score".

Importance of the full-backs
"When you are playing against a very defensive team, it is important to use the wings. The full-backs push up a lot and today they had lots of opportunities to score. They are really important when it comes to opening up opponents' defences".

"The work is always the same. The side is good. We have to thank the physios and doctors for their work. Of course we have faults, but in general I'm satisfied with what we're doing, how we're playing and the run we are on. We have to keep working".

Bale
"Everyone thinks it is a problem, but I think he will help us improve. I'm very happy with how the side is playing, but we have to continue to play well and always try to add more to our game".

0-4: Real Madrid thrash Granada

A brace from James and goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema saw the Whites claim their eleventh consecutive victory.

Real Madrid produced a sparkling performance in Granada as they again served up a demonstration of their excellent run of form. The Whites enjoyed themselves as they put on a complete display from start to finish. When everything is working smoothly the results are swift to arrive, and at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes it happened in practically the first move of the match. It was the perfect start.

After 2', Modric passed with the outside of his boot to Carvajal, who - in an ideal example of the confidence levels running through his team - fought for a ball that appeared lost, stole it from Murillo and fed Benzema. The Frenchman saw the run of Cristiano Ronaldo on the penalty spot and the Portuguese did the rest, exactly the same as in the Whites' 11 games before this one: he hit the net.

The scoreline was going their way, and the performance was hardly lacking either. They were moving the ball with speed and precision from one side to the other, and were producing constant openings in attack. Isco and James, both with shots from the edge of the area, could have increased their side's lead on 7' and 16'.

After 25', the visitors' best move deserved a different finish. The Whites put together more than 20 touches, including another outside-of-the-boot pass from Modric, an exquisite side-step from Isco in which he left three opponents in his wake, and a backheeled assist from Cristiano Ronaldo. However, Carvajal's shot was off target.

Six minutes later came James's exquisite moment. With the previous move still fresh in the memory, a better one came about. Carvajal took the throw-in, Benzema fed James with his heel and the Colombian surprised Roberto with a volley struck with his left instep. A work of art and the best possible way to round off a spectacular half an hour of play from Madrid. The only blemish in the first half came after 37', as Carvajal was forced off with an injury problem and was replaced by Arbeloa.

The show continues after the break
It was a tall order for the Whites to play better than they had in the first half, but this Real Madrid side has no limits and in the second period gave a display that was, at the very least, equally as exceptional. Ancelotti's men were enjoying themselves, and that's how the match's third goal came about. On 64', the roles were reversed from the first goal as Cristiano received on the edge of the box, put his foot on the ball, waited for Benzema's run and served up a backheeled assist. The Frenchman, one on one with Roberto, did not miss.

Madrid's superb attacking show was not done yet and, two minutes later, Marcelo hit the bar with a powerful effort from outside of the area. At this point Granada sought to stretch the guests and created some danger in their opponents' box, but Ramos and Casillas did well to thwart the three clearest chances that fell to the Andalusians.

The visitors, meanwhile, were offering no let-up and scored their fourth after 86'. Arbeloa, highly incisive on the right flank, crossed for Ronaldo. The Portugal star could only get a foot to the ball, and James pushed in on the goalline. This Real Madrid side is unstoppable.

(The opinion in this post is my personal opinion and does not represent Real Madrid's fans opinion about BARCELONA)
I usually restrain myself from writing about barcelona as its not my domain and i might sound too biased to barcelona fans but sometimes i couldn't help myself.
Barcelona lost to celta yesterday and slumped to 3rd position on a league table, the league however,is very much open and of anybody's for the taking but Barcelona have to battle it really hard to win it this time. Barcelona's main problem is their attacking front consist of Neymar-messi & suarez. In modern football its extremely important to defend the ball as a team, you can see the reason behind madrid's recent success and main reason behind they becoming EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS is because every player in madrid team contributes in defend, they sacrifice their natural instincts for the team, that's why we see benzema, cristiano & bale all playing deep when defending. In barcelona you dont see messi contributing in defense often, neymar & suarez are not known for their defensive duties either that leaves barcelona's defense open for the taking and good teams recently are cashing on this single flaw of barcelona big time. Their midfield consist of basquets-Iniesta- Xavi/rakitic mostly which is, in itself is becoming a sorry story. Now DO NOT get my wrong here but every true cule is aware of this fact that Xavi and iniesta are not the same as they used to be, their passing lacks accuracy of past nor they press their opponents as they used to, that leaves their opponent to deal with only rakitic and sergio and both of them are off color recently, next is their defense which has lost its potency ever since puyol left you can clearly see pique lost his effectiveness after puyol and marc batra is still learning, dani alves is a thing of a past now, Jordi alba finding it really hard to settle at barcelona because of his injuries. Now if you analyse the points above the picture will be crystal clear to you. Double whammy is Suarez purchase. Only barcelona board can explain the reason behind his purchase, there is no doubt that he is a prolific goal scorer and among world's best striker but barcelona doesnt really need him, they have Messi as world's best Cf/striker and now because of suarez either messi or suarez will play on the wings and to be honest they both are not good at wings and later in the season barcelona fans will accept this reality that suarez was a good buy in terms of marketing but it disturbs the balance of their team, what they needed was a pacy and creative winger (hazard would have been a match made in heaven for them but they missed the opportunity to lure the winger away from stamford bridge) even Neymar plays out of position so basically their board have bought two players in last two years for the position where messi had excelled. Their board is a whole another story of disaster who has failed to bought any world class defender in this transfer window and now they will be serving a transfer window ban.

I'll end my note with all the best wishes to barcelona for the future, stronger barcelona and fighting barcelona is vital for madrid's progress.

It will be the third time the Hungarian official takes charge of a match involving the Whites in the Champions League.

The Hungarian referee Viktor Kassai will officiate the clash between Real Madrid and Liverpool at the Santiago Bernabéu, a game corresponding to matchday four of the Champions League Group Stage (Tuesday, 8.45pm CET). It will be the referee's third competitive encounter involving the Whites, with his previous two having the same outcomes, and both played against German teams. The first was the game between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich (2-1), in the 2011/2012 semi-final return leg, and the last was the match between Borussia and Real Madrid (2-1) in the 2012/2013 season.

Brenda Rodgers on Ronaldo

Brendan Rodgers: "I do hold up Ronaldo as an example, I saw pictures of him training at Anfield the night before our first game with RM."

"It was hammering down and freezing cold. I saw images of him later and he was smiling, he was happy."

"Before the start of the game, he was stood there, just taking all of it in & probably loving being back in England again."

"And when he (Cristiano) was ready to go to work, he threw the bottle away and he went to work."

"This (Cristiano) is an incredible player & a great, great professional. As a manager, it's great to see people like that."

"You could argue that, at 19, Raheem has had a similar impact as Ronaldo had when he came to the country."

"The first part is coming in and establishing yourself as a young player - it's not easy earning that respect."

"Now, hopefully, he (Sterling) will move on. He won't have a better role model than Ronaldo"

"He's super-efficient. What I've loved about Ronaldo is that you talk about persistence and professionalism in life."

"This (Cristiano) is a guy who turned up for the Ballon D'or four years on the trot, probably thinking on a couple of occasions that he's going to be close to winning it."

"The little guy (Messi) is a genius &I'm a massive admirer of his talent but Ronaldo kept going, fighting & then deservedly won it"

Rodgers; "If you're talking about last year you have to say CR has been the best player in terms of club & arguably international football."

"It's a joy to see someone who puts so much into their game getting their rewards. It doesn't come by accident."

"The hours he (Cristiano) puts in to work to get his body right, it's an absolute joy to see that talent."

Brendan Rodgers: "For spells of the game vs RM we played really well. But it showed why they're champions, their experiences & what comes with that"

"We played against them, and it gives us a great motivation to keep improving to hopefully match that level at some stage."

Real are clearly the best team in the world at the moment but that changes each season. We've seen how quickly it changes"

"You look at Bayern Munich for a couple of years then you see what Real Madrid did to them in the semi-finals last season."

"The game is evolving all the time. It's all about cycles and moments and at this moment Real Madrid are in a big moment."

Isco: "Against Liverpool we have to come out with the same attitude and be on our guard"

Satellite

"It's an important match that can bring us qualification for the Round of 16," he said.

Real Madrid host Liverpool on matchday four of the Group Stage of the Champions League aiming to seal qualification for the next round. In an interview given to the Bwin website, Isco assessed the shape his team is in and looked ahead to the clash with the Premier League outfit: "It's going to be an important match that can bring us qualification for the Round of 16. We're playing against a very tough and historically very good opponent. We have to be on our guard because Liverpool are capable of hurting you on any counter-attack and in any move."

"At the Bernabéu, we have a better chance of winning than Liverpool. In football any team can cause a surprise, we have to go out on to the pitch with the same attitude and the same determination as we have been showing this season."

Key to continuing the run
"The key is to keep on doing the same as we have been doing. The attitude we show in every game, be it at Anfield or Cornellà. The key is our attitude, going into each game as if it were the most important, and if we do that I'm sure the trophies and results will come."

"The team is standing up to be counted in every game. We're playing to a very high level. Maybe we were more uncertain at the start. Now, with the signings adapted and the commitment of the team, with everyone taking on their role, it's going to make the team more compact in every game. Let's hope that this run of wins lasts a lot longer."

His time at the club so far

"The assessment is very positive. I'm in the best team in the world and we're winning trophies. We have won La Décima, which Madrid had been waiting for for so many years, and I hope it doesn't stop there. Now we have a terrific team, we're playing well and let's hope we keep it up."

"It's a source of pride to have been a part of winning La Décima. My sporting career has only just started. I still have a lot of goals. If possible I want to keep on winning trophies, all the trophies a player can win. The best place to do that is at Real Madrid."

Cristiano and Ballon d'Or
"Nobody is surprised by what Cristiano is doing. Everyone knew that he was going to beat the Champions League record and, for me, he's the favourite to win the Ballon d'Or because of everything he has shown: the goals he has scored, the trophies he has won with Madrid."

Praise for signings
"Kroos's passing ability is impressive, you very rarely see him miss one. James has huge quality, a left foot that can put the ball wherever he wants. Chicharito has that scoring instinct that benefits us in games that aren't going our way. Keylor Navas is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He's very quick and between the posts there are few like him."
