POST MATCH ANALYSIS
Although Granada isn't a strong opponent this season but a win is a win and you need to earn it,Real Madrid surely earned its win today.
Defense:
Carvajal was great today just like he is any other day until he got injured and limped off the field. His unmatched commitment to win the ball earned Real Madrid its first goal just in the first 100 seconds after the Kick Off.Arbeloa is aging but he is still a good cover and was involved in Real's 4th goal when he passed the ball to Ronaldo right in front of the goal but Ronaldo couldn't finish it,but James did although it's arguable as it was given as an OG. Marcelo was also good and sent some really good crosses in from the LHS. I have no words from Pepe & Ramos,Granada tried to hit Real Madrid many times on the counter but both of them were always there.Ramos came up with a great blocking right in front if the goal when Casillas was beaten. Those two (Pepe n Ramos) really play with their hearts for Madrid.
Midfield:
Modric who got off a slow start this season and was trying to find it difficult to hold the midfield with Kroos has started to show signs if his old self.Kroos has adapted to his new role too and both of them are always available to to help their back 4 out defensively as well as to distribute the ball to the flanks to switch play. James n Isco were great tonight,James scored a screamer from a tight angle and pressed the ball in the 4th goal to make Granada concede an own goal.
Attack:
Benzema and Ronaldo need no praise. Benzema had set up Ronaldo for Real's 1st goal. Then he set up James for Real's second goal through a lovely flick. Benzema isn't just an ordinary number 9 for sure! After that Ronaldo returned Benzema the favour by assisting him with a superb back heel to make it 0-3 for Madrid. Ronaldo nearly pulled up the trick again minutes later when he back heeled to Isco in a very similar position but Isco was unable to finish it off. Many people think that Ronaldo is just a lethal finisher and lack the mentality of a team player but the way he passes the ball to his team mates to assure Real Madrid a goal instead of being selfish and trying to finish himself.
