So Chicharito came to Madrid & got himself a girlfriend then became out hero. Not a bad loan deal at all..

POST MATCH ANALYSIS:

Real Madrid 1-0 Atletico Madrid
First of all congratulations to all the Madridistas around the globe.The Kings of Europe have steered past one of their worst nightmares and Real Madrid has qualified for the Semi Finals of Champions League for the 5th consecutive season.An achievement which many teams in Europe can just dream about.

Ancelotti seemed too stubborn to realise that if he keeps starting with BBC,we can't defeat Atletico and Bale,Benzema's injuries forced him to play with a 4-4-2. We were unable to defeat Atletico in last 7 games of this season and by that you guys can understand that Atletico is the team which has single handedly deprived us the chance of getting our hands on 2 titles (Spanish Super Cup,CDR) this season and the 3rd (La Liga) is still far from our reach.This means that if we had lost tonight,we would have lost all the season due to just one team.

I would like to appreciate Ancelotti for his tactical change,starting Ramos in midfield was a great idea.Playing all 3 of our CBs Varane,Ramos and Pepe was a feat that nobody could have thought of when Modric got injured last Saturday.But that gamble paid off and Ramos had it under control since the start.

TBH Real Madrid struggled to find the killer pass in the final third and when it was created in the late 40s of the first half by James' brilliance, Ronaldo shot it straight at the keeper instead of squaring it for Chicha or having a better shot himself. Infact Jan Oblak did a great job in both legs. But in the same time of second half,a move again initiated by the quick feet of James saw Ronaldo run at Atletico's defence and falling just before threading it into Chicharito's path who sent it goal wards with the slightest of touches beyond the reach of an incoming Jan Oblak!

That was it,Real Madrid had scored the goal to avenge all the Derbies of this season!
James and Chicharito were great tonight,they ran themselves into the ground till the goal was scored and their hard work was commendable. Isco,Kroos and Ramos did well by keeping the ball in play, winning possession back and stopping the counters. Atletico was unable to create proper goal scoring chances throughout the game due to the brilliance of our defence.

And the hunt for La Undecima stays alive
