In addition to being the league's top scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo is the Madrid player who has provided the most goal assists in La Liga! http://bit.ly/11FE6qP#HalaMadrid

Luka Modrić: "It was nice to see the team and Gareth Bale at the Audi event yesterday. Hopefully it won't be to long before I'm training with them again"

Copa del Rey holders out to seal qualification for last 16

NEWS | 02/12/2014 | ALBERTO NAVARRO

The Whites, who take a 1-4 first-leg lead into their return against Cornellà, make their first home appearance in the competition this term.

The Santiago Bernabéu hosts its opening match in the Copa del Rey this season. The tournament holders, who play in front of their own crowd for the first time in 24 days, are looking to press home their 1-4 advantage from the first leg against U. E. Cornellà and clinch qualification for the competition's round of 16. The winner of this tie will face the victor of the match-up between L'Hospitalet and Atlético Madrid.

Among the encounter's headline news is Jesé Rodríguez's return to action. The forward suffered a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in the Champions League last-16 second leg against Schalke 04 on 18 March and today, in the words of Carlo Ancelotti, "will play the second half or at least a good part of it".

Alongside the academy graduate, the coach has called up 16 further players, including the Real Madrid Castilla men Álvaro Medrán, Diego Llorente, Javier García-Noblejas and Javi Muñoz

While last Saturday's clash against Málaga saw Real Madrid set a club record for consecutive victories - one which they are aiming to add to against Cornellà - tonight offers the opportunity to establish another new mark in the 112-year history of the Whites. As in 2012, the team has put together a run of nine straight victories in the Copa. Today, they can make it ten for the first time ever.

First visit in Cornellà's history
Since losing the first leg, Cornellà have not registered a win in the five competitive matches that they have played. Three draws and two defeats (both away from home) is the record posted by a side that will take to the Santiago Bernabéu for the first time in their history.

-Toni Kroos (During Audi Event) : "I'm very happy at the club. Right now the most important challenge is the language, because I have a six-year contract and I will do everything I can to adapt and learn it. On the pitch, I'm delighted and everything is going perfectly."

-Cristino Ronaldo(Durung Audi Event): "The team is confident and we want to keep going like this. It's the best dressing room that I've been in in recent years."
"We hear people saying that this is the best RealMadrid side in recent years, but that's something we'll only know if we win something important."
"Right now we're in very good shape, because we are on a run of 16 consecutive wins."
"RealMadrid is like a 2nd family. We work together every day. I'm very happy and my team-mates are feeling great."
"The coaching staff are also a very important part of that dressing room."

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named FFT (FourFourTwo's) Best Player in the World for the second year running after topping the 2014 list.

Yes, Neuer is nominated for ballon D'or because he has revolutionised the role of GKs but then what about his stats which is far below Keylor Navas? The world of football is messed up. Only big names gets all the glory while players who are far better then big names perish.
