Real Madrid completed a recovery session three days ahead of their La Liga encounter with Elche in the Martínez Valero Stadium (Sunday 9pm CET). Modric's return to the group was the big news of the day during a training session in which the ten outfield players who started in the victory against Schalke 04 exercised in the indoor facilities. Ramos, Khedira, James and Coentrão continued with their recovery work.
With Casillas, Navas and Pacheco working separately, the outfield players at Ancelotti's disposal, who included Castilla's Derik and Medrán, performed warm-up and muscle-conditioning exercises before carrying out fitness and ball work drills. The session ended with a match on a miniature pitch, which Modric opted out of to jog alone.
