Dude! In Hov vs Nas, the latter was the underdog. And we ain't here discussing who's nicer lyrically, nor who ranks higher, but the fact Ether was garbage.
I always go with stuff that make sense. Stuff you can debate even on an intellectual level, not just rap. Biggie was also talking garbage to me btw.

I might be the worse person to get to this as I have got to a point of realising at the end of all this discussion, Remy is pushing for money, same as Nicki.. Unfortunately, the industry wants a winner..
Back to Jay Z and Nas.
You have to remember, at the time Ether came out, AIDS was the killer disease. Having it, meant you are dead and someone saying you have AIDS was a disrespect. For Nas to say Jay Z has AIDS was like what!!! He has dropped him to his pants. Easy E is getting recognition and all now, but then it was not put out there as it is now that the world is aware of how to handle AIDS.
Well, the Escobar issue is more of U.S. protecting there interest than him being a drug kingpin. They have been doing it for sometime and they will continue doing it. The fact that Escobar was killed arrested, killed and even his children did not want association with him might even move to other social issues.
Nas and Jay did there homework. Jay did not see the financial gain in it, and with good advice moved on. Nas had the bitter pill and kept pushing for it. Good thing about business is, they are now friends and Jay moved Nas to DefJam when he was on the throne.

I respect talent, but I never dick-ride. Biggie was just another dumb n!gga, with a nice flow. Him being nicer than Hov is simply your opinion, and you can't back it up.
Nas' ether was trash, and I can break it down all day long. Tumia kichwa chako mwenyewe kupimwa yanayosemwa bro, Hov and Nas are humans like you, they make mistakes. I pointed out the AIDS pun, and you couldn't even defend it, but here you're fronting.
