Magufuli yeye alitoa sana kipaumbele ktk SGR, ili kufingua fursa za uchumi, hasa kusafirisha chuma kule Liganga na Mchuchuma, uwekezaji wa kuchimba Nickel na Bati huko Kigoma na Burundi, na Copper, madini haya ni mazito sana, bila kuwepo kwa train yenye uwezo mkubwa, yataendelea kubaki ardhini, huku tukiendelea kujisifia kwamba nchi hii ni tajiri lakini watu ni masikini.

Sera ya WB ni kutofadhili parallel projects, hiyo ni sawa na "duplication of Projects", kama umeshawahi kufanya kazi katika "NGO" nadhani utaelewa maana yake, hiyo ndio sababu hata serikali haikuomba WB wafadhili SGR kwasababu ilijulikana wazi kwamba WB walishatoa pesa za kufufua reli ya zamani, aiwezekani tena walipie reli mbili katika nchi moja. Kama wangekua hawakutoa pesa za kukarabati reli ya zamani, wangetoa bila kigugumizi pesa za SGR.

What a stupid proposal from WB, we all know what happened when TRC was privatised to RITES from India. See below what they were proposing to put a final nail in the coffin...

"...proposing a concession that will include a 25-year lease for the TRC railway network, with the right to manage, and maintain the network, and lease of TRC locomotives and rolling stock. The concessionaire will also have the exclusive right on the TRC network to operate freight services and passenger services for the period, with an obligation to supply designated passenger services..."?????

You can argue all you want but the bottom line is this: miradi yote iliyoanzishwa na serikali hii ya sasa haijafanyiwa feasibility studies na hakuna business plans bali ni matamko ya mtu (ndio maana wengine mnataka Magufuli aendelee kuwepo madarakani "ili miradi ikamilike"). Not a single project will be successful. NOT A SINGLE ONE.
