As part of a broader advance against Ukrainian and foreign mercenary forces in the area, troops from Battlegroup Tsentr liberated the settlement of Semyonovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Monday.
Targeted strikes continue to be carried out on Kiev's military infrastructure and command positions.
The Russian military has carried out a missile strike targeting the Ukrainian Armed Forces headquarters in the center of Odessa.
“The Odessa resistance writes that three explosions were heard, the second very powerful, in the area of Kulikovo Pole, where the headquarters of Pivden' [South] operational command is located,” the coordinator of the Nikolayev underground, Sergey Lebedev, cited sources as saying.
There were reportedly numerous ambulances heading in the direction of the targeted area. Everything around Kulikovo Pole Square has been cordoned off by the military and the SBU.
On April 30, Russia’s military struck the port area of the city of Chernomorsk in the Odessa region. A powerful explosion was heard.

How Biden Showed the World the US & NATO Are Paper Tigers.
On April 13, Iran responded to an Israeli attack on its embassy in Syria by striking Israel with more than 300 drones and missiles. While most were shot down by Israeli and US air defenses, hypersonic missiles fired by Iran hit their targets, showcasing the limits of Western defenses.
US President Joe Biden revealed to the world that the US military is no longer the giant that woke up on December 7, 1941, but a paper tiger unable to exert the power it once held. Both former Chinese leader Mao Zedong and Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden described the United States in this way. Though it may have taken several decades, they are finally being proven correct.
The United States showed in the 1990s and through the start of this century that it was capable of dominating the battlefield when facing opponents with significantly less sophisticated equipment.
But, as American hegemony has slipped, other countries have caught up and in some aspects surpassed the so-called world’s only remaining superpower.
This is evident in the United States’ inability to halt the Yemen Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement's blockade against ships traveling to Israeli ports and the United States’ failure to prevent Iran’s attack on Israeli military targets.
With the Houthis, the United States has resorted to attempting to bribe the group into stopping their attacks, a tactic that has failed. But the attack by Iran was worse for the perception of American-dominance, because the failure of its weapons were on full display.

The Russian military has driven Ukraine’s NATO-armed and trained troops back over 400 square kilometers so far this year, with the advance made possible through a series of powerful blows in the winter and early spring forcing Ukrainian troops to abandon their heavily fortified positions in the western and northern suburbs of the city of Donetsk.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced Monday that troops from Battlegroup Center has completed the liberation of the settlement of Semyonovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, about 7 km northwest of Avdeyevka and about 15 km northwest of the city of Donetsk.
The operation, part of a broader advance against Ukrainian and foreign mercenary forces in areas including Novoaleksandrovka, Arkhangelskoye, Tarasovka and Zavetnoye, has sparked a mild panic in Kiev and Washington, with former presidential advisor Oleg Soskin blaming Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky for the “enormous deterioration” at the front, and suggesting that since his appointment in February, “all the time, almost every day, settlements are being surrendered one by one.”
“We need to freeze the situation. We need a ceasefire, because there can be no offensive, no return to the 1991 borders, in general the line cannot be held,” Soskin warned.
American ‘newspaper of record’ the New York Times shared in the dour assessment, running a story entitled “Ukraine Retreats From Villages on Eastern Front as It Awaits US Aid,” and citing Syrsky’s complaints about his forces being outgunned and the situation at the front “worsening” as Russia “attempt to seize the strategic initiative and break through the front line.”

Exhibition of captured NATO military hardware kicks off in Moscow

MOSCOW, May 1. /TASS/. An exhibition of captured military hardware from NATO countries that kicked off in front of the Victory Museum at Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow features 32 units of various armored equipment.
"The exhibition presents various examples of seized military equipment which were captured by Russian servicemen in the special military operation zone. In all, there are 32 items," Andrey Lyubchikov, senior researcher with Russia’s Central Armed Forces Museum, said.
For instance, the exhibition features a German-made Leopard 2 tank, an American Abrams, a Bradley fighting vehicle, М113 and MaxxPro, a Turkish-made BMC Kirpi, a UK-made Mastiff, a CV90 combat vehicle from Sweden, as well as many others captured by the Russian servicemen during the special military operation.
The exhibition also displays firearms, documents, maps, gear and drones
