Ukrainian troops in Kursk Region will be destroyed, if refuse to surrender — Medvedev​

MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. The Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region will be ruthlessly destroyed, if they refuse to lay down their arms, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin told the Security Council that Ukrainian militants who lay down their weapons near Kursk would be guaranteed life and decent treatment.
"This is a very humane approach by our country, but for the Ukrainian Nazis, there is also a flip side—should they refuse to lay down arms, they will all be systematically and mercilessly eliminated," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
He noted that the coming hours will show whether the Kiev regime will use the chance to save its soldiers.

On March 13, Putin said Russia was in full control of the situation in the Kursk Region, and a group of Ukrainian solders was in complete isolation. On March 12, he visited one of the command posts of the Kursk group of the Russian army.
A massive attack by the Ukrainian army on the Kursk Region began in August, 2024. According to the General Staff of the Russian army, more than 86% of the area occupied by the Ukrainian army has already been liberated. Residents are being evacuated from the liberated Sudzha. In some sections of the border, the Russian army entered the Sumy Region. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of hostilities in the Kursk area, the enemy has lost more than 67,000 troops.
