Russian forces gain control of commanding height in Sudzha district
Russian servicemen have already repelled six attacks by the enemy, who tried to attack in small groups
KURSK, August 27. /TASS/. Akhmat special forces’ commandoes have conducted reconnaissance in force to have taken a commanding height in the Sudzha district, previously seized by the enemy. Now they can visually control the movement of the Ukrainian military in the area, a TASS correspondent reports from the scene.
The height was 400-500 meters away from the unit's forward positions. According to reconnaissance, there were several Ukrainian soldiers on it. At dawn, the assault group entered the height and inspected the positions, but found no one alive. Before that, the height had been shelled by artillery. Some of the Ukrainian soldiers were killed, some may have managed to escape.
While the TASS correspondent was waiting for the assault team to return to their forward positions, Russian aviation hit the Ukrainian forces’ forward positions with missiles. The enemy fired several Grad shells at the positions of the Russian military.

Russian Armed Forces liberate two settlements in Kursk Region.
MOSCOW, August 27. /TASS/. The Russian military liberated two more settlements in the Kursk direction, Akhmat Special Force Head Major General Apty Alaudinov said.
"I would like to happily say that the Arbat unit has completely mopped up today Nizhnyaya Parovaya and Nechaev - the two settlements, with Regiment 1427 coming there after them. So it turns out that this area has also been mopped up, with control established," Alaudinov said in a video posted on a Telegram channel.
No particular changes took place today in the situation on the line of engagement, the general said. "The enemy has huge losses today indeed. They attacked all over the day and sustained very big losses exactly because of that," he noted.
Two infantry combat vehicles, two armored combat vehicles, and three motor vehicles were also destroyed today in total, Alaudinov added.

"Throughout the past day and night, the enemy attacked without stopping, trying to advance in our frontline section and sustained very heavy casualties. Today, as I have realized, they have decided to revise their actions. We have had some calm since the morning," he pointed out.

Ukrainian forces trying to break through into Russia’s Belgorod Region — authorities
BELGOROD, August 27. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces are trying to penetrate into Russia’s Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
"There is information that the enemy is trying to break through the border of the Belgorod Region. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the situation on the border remains difficult but under control," the regional head said on his Telegram channel.
According to the governor, Russian servicemen are carrying out routine work. "Please remain calm and trust only official sources of information," Gladkov added.
